Very nice small garden but not spectacular. The azaleas are waning and are not as brilliant as maybe a few weeks earlier. Not bad for less than $3 per person.

This park is about 700m walking distance from Kurakoen on Tokyo subway. Need to walk to diagonal end for entrance. Ticket required.

We went to a Giants preseason game here. It is a cozy dome with ravenous fans. Typical of Japanese stadiums it is very clean. The surrounding area has a hotel and places to eat.

We went to Nezu on a slightly damp and cold day, before the azaleas came out fully. It was very quiet and tranquil, although we could see the queuing system and preparation for the azalea festival being put out. It was a real shame the flowers weren't out but we did appreciate a temple in Tokyo without the crowds. There were snippets of colour and a nice path of tori gates, all maintained beautifully of course. Would love to see it with the flowers out.

Wow what a property!! We stayed her in end May 2023 for 4 nights. The rooms are good size, nearest metro -Edogawabashi (Yurakucho line). The staff is very polite and helpful. The restaurants are also good, the Japanese ones needs to be booked 3 days prior. The garden is amazing, be it in the night time or day time a walk through the garden is must.

Went here on our last day of 3 weeks in Japan. For lunch After visiting the beautiful gardens near by. There the huge stadium and two huge shopping malls that surround some open plaza space and an amusement (rides) park. Some great food outlets for take away food (upmarket and budget) that can be eaten in park / plaza (rare in Tokyo) as the roller coaster roars overhead. I love roller coasters but hate the wait at amusement parks so I don’t go. But asked how long was wait for the Dolphin Thunder (a colossal coaster)…. 10 minutes!! So for 1500y ($17 Oz $) I went on. Wow. One awesome ride. Go here for lunch , the coaster, the scene (not so many tourists)

University of Tokyo is a big university, it has a very big land with big trees everywhere. So calm, quite, and also relaxing. And it where I found the reunited statue of hachiko and Prof Ueno.

I LOVE Churches and architecture! We went to mass at St Mary's Cathedral in Tokyo. We do not speak any Japanese but its so comforting to go to a Catholic mass anywhere in the world and be welcomed. The hymns the choir sang were beautiful. The architecture is very modern - minimalistic. A Holy place to focus on God in peace without distraction! So happy we had that experience.

Pretty cool shopping area in Bunkyo-ku. Lots of restaurants (including Bubba Gump Shrimp) and shopping. The roller coaster is also pretty cool as its cuts through some of the shopping building. A few other rides there as well and right next to Tokyo Dome!

in tokyo for our last visit to japan most probably and our good friend brought us here one day.
built in 1959 and moved to the tokyo dome since 1986.
has a library, reference rooms, and many memorable baseball materials.
needless to say my husband who follows the san francisco giants team was a very happy person exploring all the displays.
we'd had a great exploring trip in japan, hiroshima back up to matsumoto, with a few stops along the way including the kumamo kono hike and the nakasendo walk.
we were there in oct. 2019 but due to covid its taken me this long to write out our experiences.
a wonderful country and we have many memories of our times there.

It's funny to write a travel review on a place that not everyone has access to.

Kodokan is the best place to stay in Tokyo, and of course, you can come to trian judo (randori, kata, etc.)
