What travelers are saying
- Boris NedevSofia, Bulgaria69 contributionsThe Castle of Santa Barbara is one of the symbols of Alicante. It is a triumph of engineering and military architecture, its construction began in the 9th century. It is one of the largest and most significant fortresses in Spain. It consists of three levels, located at different heights, each of which represents the history of different eras. The castle provides incredible panoramic views and is a must-see place to visitWritten January 5, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kaupo P1 contributionA beautiful village truly worth visiting. Just a heads up: the location link on Tripadvisor might be incorrect. We went to both Alicante and Denia which is as far as it goes in either direction at a cost of under 5 euros per person return If you booked to go to either place as an excursion from your hotel it's 64 euros each. There are lots of other stops and you can purchase a travel card.Written January 10, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen R16 contributionsNothing on the maps or signs calls this Barri Vell Santa Creu. From the port pier end head directly inland and uphill towards Ermita de Santa Roque church where houses begin and continue upwards towards Ernita Santa Cruz.
