Great tour, we went out of season so just had a tour of the caves, but this was still brilliant and informative (and for a bargain price of €2.50!!) the wines were delicious, and the sparkling red is a must-try!
We were soon in the caves at 12 degrees and they were quite incredible As a small producer they make around 1 million bottles with the minimum of fuss and all stored, at some point, in the myriad of tunnels.

From huge statues to busts, medallions and drawings it was all wonderful, and in such a lovely setting of an old church with its roof replaced with glass.
The Old Church in which the works are housed has an amazing vibe and light within the walls.

The above-ground chateau is notable for the family's connection to Cardinal Richelieu and it's use as a neutral meeting place for warring factions of Charles IX and Catherine de Medici.
Spent a good couple of hours exploring the underground caves and moat followed by the beautiful rose gardens.
