An interesting, small museum that is definitely worth a visit. The museum is divided into two parts. First, an interpretative center with information about the history of law enforcement and outlaws in the Cherokee Nation. The second part is the old prison which has replicas of the cells and additional information. The highlight of the visit was chatting with Noel about the history. He was extremely friendly and informative.

I consider Tahlequah to be a very pretty town with a stream that runs through town along part of the History Trail. There are lots of benches and shade trees so walking the trail is easy. In addition there are displays along the trail that give historical facts about the Cherokee Nation and some of it's more well known members.

My wife is 1/64th Cherokee and was raised in the area. Good to be able to visit the Museum to get filled in on some historical facts that we were not aware of. So sad that so much land was taken and so many lives lost. Those actions can never be repaid. Cherokee alphabet with 85 letters, super interesting and to find out that the Cherokees were much more literate than Americans at that time. Easy to navigate the museum, well laid out. Elevator service worked well for my 91yr old father in law. Would recommend a visit. No cost is nice, but we did have to wear a mask.

If you’re looking for an alternative to huge, impersonal campuses, this could be your best choice. There’s a breadth of degree options, a positive campus environment that is located in the foothills of the Ozark mountains and in the capital of the Cherokee Nation with lakes and rivers and wilderness nearby that offer recreational activities. We’ve attended several activities including lectures by top speakers, musical performances and spent time on campus (I’m well past college age) observing the energy of the young men and women attending the school. The college of optometry has an arrangement with the Cherokee Nation to provide services at their brand new (2019) cutting edge facility that affords students a great opportunity to see many different vision related conditions and enjoy an outstanding learning environment. All in all a really good school for undergrad work and several professional post grad degrees.

Interesting little museum. Takes only a few minutes to see the exhibits. The building itself it neat. Of the 3 main museums, this was probably the least impressive but still worth a stop if you’re going to/from the Prison or History museums.

We enjoyed stopping into this church and finding out the type of service they have near the college. Small church but the garden area with the Marian grotto is beautiful and peaceful. If you need to take just a moment to gather yourself, sitting in the garden area is the place to be.

It is a bit odd because this is someone’s home and the statue is in the backyard. We were quick and respectfully tried to skirt the edges of the yard for a quick photo. Definitely think the family living there could do something like a little shop or even just a side path. It is really odd that this is just sitting in the backyard hidden.

We're always satisfied with the service! Only thing we disliked this time someone took or the workers didn't have our oars we had to wait for someone to bring our them.

We love coming here and looking around. We can usually always find something we want. The prices are very reasonable. It is also easy to see everything, it’s NOT cluttered or junky

This was our second time floating the Illinois River. Took our dog Willow for the first time. The campground was great! Easy access to the river too! Bathrooms are nice and air conditioned. Store has a lot to offer and the help is really nice. We’ll be back!

MHSW came home, after 24 hours duty, for the Cherokee Nation and invited me. She said, “let’s float it”, I said, “let’s get this party started”,
thank you Pink. We Sandwiched at Subway & picnicking was in the shade, on the banks of the Illinois river w/a Wild flower !
The convertible bus ride, good times from start to final landing beach
All American is 1st from the left turn, on the right, Where the Super Slide once stood
Keep partying, it’s not over & those taillights are Leslie & Tommy’s.

Myself and three of my associates participated in a charity event for handicap children. The course was excellent. The greens were well kept, the fairways were mowed to perfect condition, and the event staff were great. The lodge has beer, and hot food. There are restrooms at the end of the 9th hole and they are clean and well kept.

This pub is hands down the best in Tahlequah. They have something for everyone. The list includes a really delicious food menu, 16 rotating beer selections on tap and another 25 or so in cans, wine, cigars, cocktails, frozen drink machine, live music on weekends, open mic night every other Tuesday, trivia night every other Thursday, yard games, spacious outdoor patios, three firepits, a crawfish festival in the Spring, an Oktoberfest in the Fall, and the best atmosphere around Tahlequah. The happy hour offered is amazing because they do half-priced pint pours from 4-6 Monday thru Thursday. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Every now and then you will catch the owners there and they are really great people. It is a must visit when you come to Tahlequah.
