Though the church is beautiful and imposing, what I found most rewarding was visiting the tomb of Blessed Bartolo Longo which is in a chapel accessed through the side of the sanctuary.
Absolutely breathtaking basilica with miraculous icon - very special if you are interested in the history of 54 day rosary novena and the story of Blessed Bartolo Longo.
