Beautiful medieval town with its alleys and stone house and its imposing church. The main square is beautiful (already used in several movies)It's just a pity that there is always a flood of boring tourists whose only interest is taking photos and selfies
The city is completely pedestrian. There are several car parks very close to the historic center. As it should be, there are many craft shops and cafes. At night it becomes a ghost town with no one or nothing to do.
Despite everything, it is worth visiting this beautiful city

One of the places you don't forget. From the town centre - which to us appeared a bit "brushed and polished" as a Middle Age place - walk down an alley to a place that is well away from the souvenir shops and tourist-filled crèperies. This place is calm and quiet and makes you relax. Next to a fountain the water of which has refreshed people and animals for centuries, there is a medieval church, dark, with a beautiful blue window and an impressive statue of Mother Mary, her dead son Jesus and mourning followers. Above you there is another crucifixion ensemble hanging from the ceiling. All that makes you calm down and pensive. A good place to go to and let your thoughts flow.

We happened to arrive in the village at the week of their special celebrations and so the village was festooned with flowers and little arbours. The staff in little tourist office were very helpful with information explaining what it was all about. It was strange because despite all the flowers and the picturesque buildings, the place had a slightly depressing atmosphere.

Simply one of the most beautiful and historic villages I have visited
Walking around Locronan was just like going back hundreds of years or being on a film set!
Please ensure you include Locronan on any visit to Brittany
