Lively atmosphere in the main part of the pub but there is also a quiet cosy candlelit room (complete with an open fire) at the front of the pub, perfect if you have children with you.
This little pub, steeped in the history of Hull (the oldest pub), is quite lovely and well worth visiting for reasons other than its heritage.

We tried Humber St Distillery co,on a whim and got to say Calum was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the old town and the history of the gin bar.
Visited late afternoon the place was very quiet but we were looked after extremely well by Adi and Danny who were both very knowledgeable and took the time to explain and recommend gins.

We spent a fantastic lunchtime in this cracking pub before the recent Hull v West Brom game (I wish that we had stayed there!) Tony the gaffer is a really friendly Shrewsbury Town fan.
