Absolutely incredible and has to be done, but the ticket price is scandalous! They have you over a barrel though as you have to do it when you’re here.

Stayed in Split and enjoyed our walks through the narrow streets of the old palace area. So much history, lits of eating places, lots of shops. (Lots of tourists) Great place to visit.

Pleasant place to sit and chill out for a while. The sounds are quite haunting, but I didn’t think they were particularly loud or impressive and after a while you don’t even notice the background noise.
It’s a bit of a gimmick really and I don’t really ‘get it’ but it is a nice clean area to sit and watch the waves

Was a fun hike up to the fort (and back down!) admiring the beautiful gardens along the way. The fort itself is also fascinating and I wish we'd had a little more time to spend there! Views to die for as well!

We needed a safe place to anchor close to Hvar in the peak of high season. We ended up in the cove across from the Carpe Diem beach club. The cove was beautiful, and not too crowded with boats or traffic, but it was very noisy because of the club so close.

This place is worth your time if you enjoy nature and appreciate amazing views There are several patches or tracks you can follow either by walking ,cycling ,or roads are limited passing and you will need to be good at reversing as only one way to the top and only width for one vehicle ,so it is worth the effort,or as we did do tour and sit back and enjoy the views.
Also if you take the option to go to the summit you will have a chance to do the sky walk included ,there are many tours up to the sky walk but it is only half way up the mountain ,

Wondering through Old Town is a "must do" when visiting Dubrovnik. So many shops and restaurants - and so much history. Lots of opportunities for getting lots of steps in as you go up and down steps.

Spent a few days walking the small island part of Trogir through the narrow streets taking in its history, trying some if the restaurants, having coffee and people watching. Recommend Trogir. Beautiful place.

One of many excellent beaches on island Pag. Big beach with free parking area crystal sea water, no noisy. Small snack shop available on the beach.
One place on Pag you should visit!

The exterior of this gothic renaissance stone cathedral is certainly impressive and worth a visit especially for some of the masonry work such as the very impressive Lion Gate and if you are on a guided tour of this UNESCO heritage site they will explain the significance of some of the 71 stone heads adorning the structure. Built of local sandstone the building looks it’s best in the late afternoon sun and as others have mentioned the northern staircase to the square opposite ( the one that leads up to the Michelin star restaurant ) is the best place to catch its most impressive vista at this time.
I would probably still recommend spending the 40kn to go inside but primarily because it includes entrance to the new interpretive centre a short walk away which gives a lot of good information on the history of the Cathedral. By cathedral standards the interior is not that impressive and in line with what you would find in most regional Italian towns, but there are some good points such as the small baptistery, which is well worth a visit, and the stained glass windows above the alter, especially if the sun is streaming through them.

During summer, go in the morning hours. The road is not very well maintained, but can be done even by smaller children. The path is quite steep and rocks are loose, so can get slippery especially downwards. Wear good shoes and bring plenty of water.
The fortress is not such a big thing, but the trip and the view will compensate for that.
There are zero services on the top (not even a toilette), but a guy will still charge some entrance fee.

Cavtat pronounced Savtat, Yeah I didn't know either is a very much chilled out option if you want to visit Dubrovnik but don't want the masses. A lovely small town on the seaside. Get the bus or an uber or even the wee ferry (much more fun) if you want to visit Dubrovnik. In town most larger apartments are on the hill so a good walk uphill to and fro not so good if you can't walk so well, more apartments right in town. There isn't too much to see in Cavtat but lots of restaurants beaches and hiking will see you through, hire a boat, take a larger boat trip, only thing with the boat trips in Sept or any month with bad weather is windy conditions means no boats. That doesn't happen often. A great quiet option to Dubrovnik.

Really enjoyed the biokovo skywalk, in spite of choosing the only cloudy day of our holiday 😀😀
We found it a little bit confusing when we booked - you have to book in advance or you can’t go up the mountain. It is unclear when booking whether the time slot is entry to the mountain road, or entry to the skywalk.
We therefore arrived at the entry to the mountain 45 mins early: the time slot is actually entry to the mountain, so you really don’t need to arrive early. There is a barrier across the entrance which they lift on the hour, and only 20 cars are allowed up in each hour time slot.
Took about 40 mins to drive up to the skywalk: it is a narrow road, but there are lots of passing places and it never felt unsafe.
The skywalk itself is really impressive- great views in spite of the cloud.
You can only spend about 20 minutes on the skywalk, which we thought was long enough.
You can then go on to the top of the mountain or go back down: going down is much easier than the drive up, as all the cars coming up come together. We just parked in one of the bigger passing places and let them all go up past us.
Wish we had brought a picnic- there are various places on the mountain with picnic benches, and there is a restaurant as well, although we didn’t try it.
All in all, a really good trip out

There is nothing interesting in the fortress itself, but there are great views of the old town of Sibenik. However, the price of admission is quite high.
