Everyone at this farm was AMAZING! Very kind and gracious. My 6, 4, 2, and 7M olds had a WONDERFUL time. Completely worth the trip here. And the cheese is FANTASTIC! The clog making demonstration is GREAT too! The hosts are very witty, patient and kind. And then seeing/petting the farm animals afterwards was so fun. Probably the highlight for my 4 and 2yrs olds.

A must visit when wandering around the Bos, where the kids can wander freely amongst the goats, pigs and chickens, feeding them and brushing the goats. Also a good play area and maze to run around. Fab restaurant to enjoy local produce.

Big news the old V & D parking is now Qpark and open. it looks a bit different on the outside but inside its the same. Hudson Bay has been replaced by an outlet store. my favorite D & E coffee place is now a dunkin donuts not the same at all.
beware the albert hein parking side. there is massive construction in the old KPMG site and the traffic is a big snarl

Start with a cup of coffee or tea in the Bakery Out near the little bridge in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. Did you know that Ouderkerk is the founding place of Amsterdam?
After the stop go left over the bridge. First part till you pass the highway A9, aprox. 2 km, you enter the world of the oldest Polder in NL.
    Enjoy the ride!

Very picturesque estate, well taken care of. Discovered it while biking to Ouderkerk aan de Amstel and was fascinated by the nature of the garden and its surroundings. Would definitely go back in spring

Last month I took my granddaughter and her friends to Elsenhove which is very near to amstelveen. It's a great petting farm where children can see and play with farm animals. They can enter the enclosure of goats and play with them . There is donkey, the cows with calves, they can also see the huge pigs and the piglets . As you walk round the path, you come across the rabits . Children are very happy to see their activities.Chickens are there i n their enclosures . There are varieties of them. Some of them are really beautiful.
If gou are tired you can take your refreshments in the restaurant inside.
    Children can enjoy snack .
There are some water bodies along the sides of the farm where plenty of waterbirds are swimming or preying. Just outside saw a grey heron meditating on the waterside.
2 yrs back when I went there we saw pea cocks. But may be they are hiding somewhere in that big farm . We could not see them . Ducks were honking. On the whole it was a pleasant experience.
If you can wait children can also feed the animals in the afternoon
This is educative and pleasant for both children and adult.

This is a beautiful spot just behind the houses. The beach and sand is fairly clean, although there was lots of large duck/bird poo around. It has a small climbing area for children. I saw toilets facilities but they were closed. Also possibly a drinks facility but also closed, I visited after 6pm. The water has lots of algae so I would not swim. A lovely place to relax and enjoy the air,.quiet and views.

in addition to books, reading tables and a nice wash room, there is a cafe and a place to top up the snel card which is necessary to use the public transit.

The cream tea was good with a nice variety of sweet and savoury. We sat in the garden and it was very relaxing.
We had booked a bouquet arranging workshop. We picked our own flowers. That was fine. But the workshop was not really instructive. Better to pick your own and take them home to arrange. Much cheaper.

Stadstuinen Amstelveen are situated next to the main shopping mall of Amstelveen and are designed in a modern style with straight clean lines. There are some borders featuring perrenial plands and scrubs and a large lawn overlooked by low blocks of appartments and condominiums.Despite the central location few visitors mear peace and reflexion are possible. An avenue of Japanese cherry trees is usually in bloom in April;Rhododendrons flower early may.

They make some amazing varieties of Cheese here and the process is explained in detail to the visitors, just bear the Cheesy smell and you will be able to understand the work involved, we just take it of the shelves bill it buy it and consume it.
Apart from the Cheese they also make wooden shoes for all ages. A lot of souvenirs are available at the Rembrandt Hoeve which are worth buying, great staff with a lot of smiling faces, eager to help you decide what you should take.
