You have to make reservation before your visit. A very small church, with only wooden columns, but the stained glasses, depicted with many different bible stories are the highlight. Light reflection into these glasses, has produced the result of an unbelievable brightness, intensifying the pictures, also lightening up the whole church.

We had a guided tour of Hirado Island including areas in the remote countryside for the 'Hidden Christians’, This is one of the churches we attended that commemorates Saint Francis Xavier who preached here in the 16th century

This lighthouse is located in the northern edge in Ikitsuki island, Nagasaki pref. I felt very strong wind from sea, so I was not able to walk smoothly on the corridor of the lighthouse. I looked very beautiful ocean. but also felt scary if I fell to the land due to strong wind.

It is one of the must-sees in Hirado. The building of this museum used to be the residence of the feudal lord, and the exhibit is mainly about the collection of their family. You can see many precious objects, and you can even take pictures without flash.

It is a symbolic monument of Hirado and its glorious time of the foreign trade. Unfortunately the building is a reconstruction, but it is well imitated. The exhibit inside is about the history of the trade. You can also buy a combination ticket with Matura Historical Museum.

From a Xavier Church, you go down the path to downtown, you can find this beautiful scenery, a combination of Christianity and Buddhism. To take a snapshot, the best place is in front of Zuiunji temple.

I happened upon this place when I got a bit lost. I enjoyed the view while I got my bearings. I didn't go in the buildings so I can't tell you what they're about; sorry.
