What a treat! Park on the road, walk a short distance, and swim in a pool beneath a beautiful waterfall.
There are great places downstream along the river which have natural basins with cascading water which are like miniature jacuzzis.

The surf was fun for body surfing but be sure you are a good swimmer as there is a bit of curl to the waves.
This is a beautiful beach, a bit off the beaten track, but well known to local families as a weekend camping, cookout and swimming beach.

We left the classes feeling relaxed and strong!
On this particular occasion we found ourselves specifically in the need for a Yin practice and while there are a number of Vinyasa offerings in the area, Serenidad was the only place we found offering Yin.

Once on the beach, Guerrimo guided our kayaks through the surf and once away from the beach you kayak to end of the whale’s tail formation during low tide and then snorkel near the rocks.
The caverna on the beach are super nice place, and the last waterfall, with fresh water, a "natural jacuzzi" to relax, one amazing tour to know all the Uvita's area in one day!

Wear hat, sunscreen, beach clothing, good shoes that will get wet (sneakers, but we saw lots of people in flip flops), and bring plenty of water.
It is more than worth the nominal national park fee (but make sure you are there at low tide or shortly thereafter...)
