- CassbellaBentonville, Arkansas, USA170 contributionsThis was our first stop during our Door County vacation and the highlight of the trip! Ferry service was such a unique experience and worth every penny. Impressed with how efficient the service operated they were on time and thorough.
For 4 adults and 2 kids cost was $99 round trip
They have several ferry boats running so we didn’t have to wait long at all to load
Coming back from Washington Island we waited about 10 mins to load
They can get about 15-20 cars on depending on size our ferry had RV going over and Horse Trailer coming back that took several car spots but still little wait time
Washington Island was wonderful as well spent about 6 hours there with several hours at Schoolhouse Beach
We went straight to Schoolhouse Beach when we arrived around 11:30. We were able to get a great picnic table in shade and kids loved the beach
Water was chilly but several were still swimming
It was such a beautiful beachWritten August 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The scenery is gorgeous and peaceful. We enjoyed the Lighthouse, Nicolet Bay Beach area, the Tower. and Eagle Panorama.Written August 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CassbellaBentonville, Arkansas, USA170 contributionsAfter arriving on the island we went straight to this beach arrived about 11:30. There were several already here but as we drove around found a great spot directly across from restrooms/ changing room. I parked so I could get out easily everyone parks within the trees from the road to the beach area. We found a picnic table with grill that was shaded and had a great view of the beach in front of us for the kids to play.
We had so much fun played here for about 3 hours just swimming, stacking rocks and relaxing
Plenty of picnic tables, charcoal grills and benches as long as you arrive before the mid afternoon when it gets really busy
I’m glad this was our first stop after exiting the ferry we had plenty of time here. enjoyed a picnic lunch and then still had time to see the other attractions on the island before returning
This was the highlight of our Door County vacation the ferry ride and spending the day on Washington Island!!!
Took the 10:15am ferry over. Took the 4:30pm ferry back we had plenty of timeWritten August 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They sell a variety of products; salsas, dips, soups, jams, jelly, pie filling, coffees, etc. (too much to list) along with items for your kitchen and decor for your home. Their pies are delicious! You can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.Written July 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Missy RSaint Paul, MN24 contributionsI first had stopped at this place last summer and loved it so much that I needed to go back. We stopped again for more wine tasting and to buy some great bottles of wine! They have wine flights from $10. You get to pick 4 of their standard wines for $10 or premium for $15. The service here is great and they usually have live music playing on the patio. You can also purchase wonderful cheese from the cheese shop to have with your wine while your visiting or take home with you. I highly recommend this place!Written September 12, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

I enjoyed the prayer path that leads you to the church

The purple flowers here and throughout the trails were stunning. Took the horse-drawn cart back across the shallows, bumpy! Loved our visit.Written July 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Christina BLouisiana2,488 contributionsWe only came through to see a little and find a place to stop and eat. It’s $11 to just enter even knowing we were just going to be a short while. There seems to be a bunch of hikes that vary in length and difficulty. Would love to have taken one or 2 but it wasn’t possible on this trip. We enjoyed the beach area for a short time.Written July 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tracey PChicago, IL4 contributionsWhen we entered the farm we were immediately greeted by goats and sheep that are adorable and friendly … and all looking for the goat milk bottles!
Probably the best petting zoo experience we’ve ever had! When you can tear yourself away from all the cute goats, there’s a lot more to see! Buildings filled with old farm equipment, more animals, lovely walking trails. - thebri2Indianapolis, IN43 contributionsDon't skip the Ridges range lights! The walk from the nearby park was beautiful and the boardwalk to the upper station was exceptional, flower-lined - magical. Very interesting!
