Didn’t know what to expect at this attraction.

    Went with three kids 3-9-12.

All enjoyed it even though 3 year old didn’t really get that involved he loved exploring and the play area and train.

Overall this place is super clean and very enjoyable for children and adults.

I would say the mobility is a must and great for kids that like to explore.

Good Value and will 100% return next year.

The escape room was the highlight for me it’s a shame that the harder levels are at a cost.

Great castle to look around great views and history. 2 hours on the parking in the carpark was enough with getting pasties for lunch as well. The nearest toilets are in the multi storey carpark non onsite although there does seem to be a building round the back which is locked. Dog friendly and picnic area.

Wow!!! What a magical place!! We took my mum who is a collector as we were passing Launceston and we were all blown away by how special this place is. I would highly recommend going - everything is so brilliantly done and thought out, it’s a delight for collectors or non collectors.

Quick visit for a light bite on our way home mid morning. Husband had sausage & bacon bap, I had cheese scone with cheese & chutney. Scone was fresh out of the oven. Delicious. Friendly staff. It looks beautiful outside but we didn't have time to walk. Will definitely return if we are in that area again.

Very warmly welcomed by the guide who lives next door. Then we had a very informative, interesting talk about John Wesley, history, Methodism. Also watched a small film in the upper prayer room and looked around. Came away feeling refreshed and knowing a lot more about John Wesley, his family and early Methodists. Also learnt about the family who owned the house when John and his fellow preachers stayed.

The Church was built between 1511 and 1524 - just before the Reformation in the 1530s. Indeed the paper guide says that it was not quite finished. The outside is practically as it always was: carved granite is very durable. The main carvings above the south porch are (to the left of the niche) St George aiming his spear at the dragon and (to the right) St Martin giving half his cloak to a beggar. The statue of St Mary Magdalene in the niche was only placed there in 1911.

Inside, the church was restored during Victorian times. It was apparently in a very poor state but the memorials, especially the one to Granville Pyper and Richard wise, are worth viewing, as are the wooden carvings - see the pew-ends and the Chancel Screen in particular.
