My wife Julia and me went out with Geoff and Logan for a morning fishing on 13th November 2019. Geoff picked us up at our apartment dead on time. On boat at 8.00 am. Fishing by 8.15. Banana cake, grapes, other snacks and drink while we waited for our first catch of the day. The “big boys” were there but eluded us, so we came a bit more in-shore for Barracuda at Geoff’s suggestion and we were soon in. At one point three on at the same time. We had a great morning and when not catching both Geoff and Logan were great company and to talk to about other aspects of the island such as places to go and restaurants to visit. On the way back in Logan filleted one of the catch and Geoff cooked it with a little spice to perfection. I highly recommend Geoff and this charter. If you have the chance do it - you will have a great time. John Buckley UK

Captain Geoff collected us from our hotel himself at 6am on the South coast. We boarded Wicked Wahoo moored at Port Ferdinand at 6:45 and Geoff gave us the safety briefing while the deckhand Logan prepared the rods and lures. 20 mins into our trip we hit Tuna. 2 hours later we were into Barracuda. We finished a perfect day with landing beautiful Wahoos. Geoff cooked a wonderful lunch on board with a Barracuda we had caught which was truly delicious. There were plenty of snacks and cold beverages for the entire day. I have fished for many years and the knowledge and experience that Geoff and Logan have is incredible. I learn so much from Logans meticulous presentation of his baits. I will go to sea with these two gents any day! I highly recommend Speartime charters.

Taking the charter with my wife we started the day with a pleasant greeting and review of the day ahead These guys are by far the best charter we have done in Barbados Knowledgeable with every effort to catch fish The the off they spoilt us We fished north or Port Ferdinand and hit some big sea’s Even with the sea conditions these guys worked hard at keeping the right spread and bait to catch fish Returning to calmer waters for some lunch a swim with turtles and to cap it off fresh Barracuda caught that morning We both Thoroughly enjoyed the charter Thanks guys

Even though we did not get any fish, our family of 10 still had a wonderful time. The ship was so clean and classy. Van trip was clean and safe to a beautiful private harbor to board the boat. Crew was friendly and informative and the provided lunch was delicious. Lots of places to sit and lounge, including climbing to the top deck and out on the bow with our legs hanging over the edge while we were cruising. Appreciated that Jason from the crew snorkeled with us to show is the best spots and look out for everyone at our two spots in the water. Appreciate the nice bathroom on board. The perfect finale of our week.

My husband and I have been on many private fishing charters. We have been around boats, fishing equipment and many different staff members through our travels! We know what to look for and expect! Now for the good and the bad.... First, the boat was exceptional... just as pictured. The location, dock, marina... most expensive in Barbados! The rate was very fair and comparable to private charters we have paid in the past... actually a little less at times. When I say a little less I mean not even enough to mention but thought I would throw that bit of info out there. The staff (one being the owner) very nice and knowledgeable. Service was great... first it was banana nut bread (we started at 7AM). Grapes was the second snack and later chips and salsa. Water, beer, soda and some liquor was available... this trip we only booked 4 hours. Now for the negative... fishing is hit or miss I understand this. Our April fishing trip in the Dominican was a miss but it was not for that staff not working and changing bait and doing all they could to catch a fish... they even said we will catch a fish and they did ... but only one. This trip the bait wasn’t checked often at all and the bait was changed a few times but that was about it.. no fish and honestly after looking back my husband and I both said they could have cared less... we made a nice boat payment. Some staff at our villa told us they really only recommend local fishermen.. and the local fishermen was catching fish ... we checked through a contact.. the local fishermen was going to take us for 300.00 dollars but we didn’t think our 8 year old and 21 year old really wanted to go again so we did not book it.
