If you like an atmosphere of hustle and bustle, laughter and loud conversation, then this is your place. Good service, excellent food, but for us older ones a bit loud. But try it!!! Absolutely.

I attended this event in Kloster Eberbach for the Easter Egg event which occurs once a year. The last tine I attended this was in February 2016. I enjoyed the event and purchased several decorative eggs. Well worth visiting and purchasing.

We booked a late evening wine tasting tour and walked through the monastery tasting six different types of Rieslings. We had dinner before in the monastery resaurant which was great. The tasting tour was amazing: historic rooms lighted just by 20 candles, romanesque and gothic arches, wine barrels and an amazing guide Erik who did a perfect job in educating... More

We rode our bikes and decided to stop here. We didn't eat but had some wine here, and the wine was amazing. This is such a great place to go to. Just beautiful. The views are lovely and this is place is just gorgeous. If you have never been to a Kloster, you really should check it out. Religion aside,... More

If you walk towards it from the parking lot it has a wow factor. But then it's 8€ entry for an adult, it's a lot. If you walk past the modern entry scanning units ( like you want to enter the tube) you end up in the yard. It's pretty empty, it has a museum besides that to many modern... More

Very impressive architecture with a very long history. Worth to see the movie "The Name der Rose" beofre you visit Kloster Eberbach as several scenes of the movie have been taken inside of Kloster Eberbach.

The Wikipedia article spans 30 pages and that says it all. It is a landmark one should not miss traveling through the wine walley Rheingau. Whilst there is a lot to see, it is - looked at each of it individually - not one of a kind on its own, but all together a must have seen. The restaurant is... More

This is an amazing place, a monestry for nearly 600 years and then a winery, it has a fasinating history. The public tours are in German only, but you can hire an audio guide in English, which is well worth it, as it has lots of detail and atmospheric music.
