10/10 stop off
Mar 2017 • Couples
Funny and informative host / owner made Tassell a great stop on Margies big day out wine tour. The wine was superb and they were able to send a dozen bottles back to South Australia for $20 postage!

Can't rave any higher for this place considering it was our first stop off and I hadn't expected to purchase a case before midday haha.

👌🍷👌

Great Wines and Banter
Feb 2017 • Friends
A few mates and I visited whilst on a wine tour.

We did a few of the large, slicker wineries but none of them came near to Tassell Park.

Ian is a great bloke, no pretentiousness but don't confuse that for lack of wine making expertise because all four of us rated this place and its wines highly.

There's no point in me going on about the different wines, I'm no expert, but I saw lots of awards on the bottles and its all personal taste.

The tasting bar area is more intimate and friendly than most wineries and Ian has plenty of good humour and chat.

I would happily spend a couple of hours drinking wine and watching the world go by from the balcony.

Not to forget it's a single vineyard producer, which means that the wine you drink comes from the vines you can see. Apparently quite a few vineyards buy grapes in, I'm sure their wine is fine but it just seems a bit like cheating to me.

I'll be back and be stopping for a longer chat.

Little family owned winery with delicious wines and great specials too!

As a local I have my favourites and this place is worth many a return visit for the relaxing and warm hospitality and great range of wines. The owner is having a "retirement sale" so I have been regularly visiting to pick up cases of really decent estate grown wines at around $12-$14 a bottle! Good reds and whites, nice people and handy to Cowaramup town and Brewery. Highly Recommended!

We spent a happy 45 minutes tasting the lovely wines and chatting to Ian the owner who is very friendly and welcoming as was the lady who poured our tasting. Highly recommended for a visit.

Best of the many wineries we visited

Wine was excellent here and the owner made the tasting sessions a unique experience for us. He was intelligent, humourous and highly knowledgeable.

He gave generous pours and conveyed his understanding well to novices. As a teacher myself, I can say without doubt that he would have made an inspiring teacher!

Definitely visit this one first for some reasonably priced wine and a great introduction to the region's wine.

We stopped here as part of the Bush Tucker wine tour and were greeted by Ian the owner and Selina who poured for our tastings. Both were very lovely. In particular the mulled wine was delicious and I am kicking myself for not buying some now!

Ian is a legend, and the wine are legendary!

We visited along with a group on Neil Mcleods Winery Tours, and This was my favourite stop of the day! Ian hosted us to a wonderful tasting of his wines which were absolutely divine. They were modest but of such fine quality, I wasn't leaving without some of Ian's Chardonnay, no WAY! Ian was a captivating, humorous and intelligent gentleman who offered us so much knowledge in our tasting as well as witty banter and many laughs. A must-see for anyone visiting wineries in Margaret River.

Thank you for your review Judith. Ian is indeed a great wine educator, but his job is made easier when our wines taste this good!
