This ia a beautiful well laid out Lily and Lotus Park. The variety of colours is really amazing and it keeps changing ,depending upon the season.
A beautiful Dragon / Naga statue has been built here and is proof of the artistic nature of the Thai people. A must see attraction, very restful and no entry fees. There is a small coffee shop and an OROP store. Don't miss it.

This place is organized by Kasesart(agriculture)university , planning to be field outdoor study for its scholars and also welcome general visitors, there are many ponds with varities of lotuses, crocodile farming, fish farming too. This place is good for visiting in the early morning oe evening because it's time for lotus blooming, very beautiful.

Lotus garden of Kasaetsart University. Cycles are for hire and there's plenty of cycle routes. If you're tall; being your own bike ;)

Very easy to find, enroute from Sakon Nakhon there are so many great places to stop for those things you just can't find in large towns. The park is located just opposite a large lake on your right. There is a small white access bridge on your left, just over the bridge is great parking. On site are clean toilets and a very refreshing restaurant, food is of great quality and quantity for the more picky folks like myself. As you look out from the rest area you will see every color of floating water lilies, even blue ones yes! (4) shades of blue. A above the water platform allows you to walk above the water even touch some of the more exotic plants. There are park security so let's, not try to be to brazen. There is a alagator feeding farm onsite for you and the kids to walk above and around the tanks.
Along your walk you will find vast amounts of water containers filled with nursery plants at varying stages. If you visit during the weekday, you are lucky because English speaking botonist are available to teach, show and explain the various types of water life as well as the benefits to adding to any water source. The visit last as long as you like and it is FREE, so next time you have a few open hours take a drive 30 minutes from Sakon Nakhon city center.

Chaloem Phra Kiat Park is still in the building phase with a food hall, shops and a Visitor Centre under construction and new paths being built around the attraction. At this stage it is free entry (bikes are available for a paid hire). I'm sure when they finish building they'll start charging an entry fee.

You can walk on a system of boardwalks over the water lilies and lotus flowers giving you plenty of opportunities to view and photograph these beautiful flowers. At the time of our visit (December 2015) a lot of plants were not flowering, so am not sure when it is the best time of year to visit - probably not December or in cool season.

We arrived here late in the afternoon on the way back from a ride into the local hills. There is a lovely lake and large ponds with different varieties of water lily growing.
There is a surprise in store too at the far end of the lily ponds at the furthest section from the park entrance. A compound containing around fourteen crocodiles. We were able to walk above them but there was not a lot of movement as they had been fed earlier.
