It used to be a tradition of ours, before we went on holiday, to go to runway visitor park to see the aeroplanes. Won't be doing it again. Parking is £5 for up to 2 hours and £10 over 2 hours. Their website suggests bus...More

We travelled to the Runway Visitor park as a treat for my 2 Great Nephews. This was there 1st visit to an Airport & to be able to get so close to the Big Planes was a very exciting experience for them. We took a...More

We went on Sunday to watch the planes take of and land as our toddler is fascinated by them. What a surprise when we arrived. There was loads to do, you can look around a retired BAE Trident, another airplane whos type I can't recall...More

Good for plane spotting, but the new fence turns what used to be a great view into an OK view. Concorde tours oddly stop at 2pm in peak season and it's virtually impossible to even have a decent look at her through the tinted windows....More

What a fab place. We booked the Concord tour to coincide with emirates 380 departing at 2pm. The guides were wonderful, Geoff & Bob. Concord itself is beautiful. Would definitely recommend a visit for anyone who has an interest in planes.

We visited here with our 2 year old who loved seeing the planes up close. We thought it would be a 'cheapish' day out, sadly we were wrong and it could end up costing a lot. £5 for 2 hours parking or £12 for 4...More

I visited here on Saturday afternoon with family. I have been before as I live fairly close to the airport. For being able to view planes landing and taking-off it is perfect. Great spot and you couldn't really get any closer to the action. However...More

The guy in the car park hut had us in stitches as soon as we arrived, everything was sign posted, so no chance of straying from the path. A Lancaster bomber flew over on its way to Woodford to my husbands delight. We were escorted...More

Hi Becky, It depends what you want from the day out or trip to be honest. The cafe is great, but an hour or maybe a couple of hours maximum is all that a person can manage there. If you are into planes then the viewing is... More

Take off is 2pm If planning to do the Concorde experience, which is so good, book the 1pm tour. And then when it finishes at 1.45 time for a coffee or sandwich and watch the A380 leave
