Pristine snorkelling off Koh Samui

3 reviews
Discover the brilliant, sunlit reefs of Koh Tan and Koh Mudsum on a guided, half-day snorkeling tour from Koh Samui. Travel by traditional longtail boat to Koh Tan, and float above rays, sponges and iridescent corals as you relax in the shallow waters above the reef. Sink into the pristine sandy beaches of Koh Mudsum before slipping into the ocean for a final snorkel. When complete, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

David and I joined Jaa’s Thai cooking class. Fabulous tutorial, fresh local ingredients, very interactive and best of all enjoyed a fabulous lunch eating all our dishes. Tim was a great host and they both made us very welcome

Thanks again Tim and Jaa for yet another fabulous meal, the great cocktails and the good chat! We have been going to Hemingway’s for many years and always make at least one trip from the north of the island to the south especially to go every time we are in Samui. I highly recommend the steamed sea bass it was delicious, but you really can’t go wrong with anything from their menu and the pina colada is the best! See you guys in a couple of months for sure!

We had a wonderful time cooking up delicious dishes under the watchful eye of wonderful chef Jaa. Our expectations were high considering we had attended the school in 2017 and we were not disappointed. Not only was the food delicious but our knowledge of Thai cooking has been greatly enhanced.

We spent a great morning cooking up some delicious Thai food with our 2 boys age 13 & 11 under the guidance of Jaa at Hemingway’s. She, Mont and the team were all so friendly and made the morning fly by - all the while being informative and encouraging, never strict or dull. Our boys were included from the start and made to feel welcome and they loved every minute but especially that we could eat the fruits of our labour at the end. It was all delicious, as we knew it would be, as we were able to choose the dishes that we made. We were also given drinks and dessert that we had not been expecting too, such a bonus! We met with Tim, Jaa’s partner, and he was equally informative about Koh Samui. The restaurant is in a less developed area of the island and we enjoyed the drive to the restaurant. If we had more time we would definitely go back to eat at Hemingway’s, this time without doing the work ourselves! We booked the cookery lesson (recommended in Lonely Planet) as something to do with our boys during a morning of uncertain weather on our holiday. However if we were to come back again we would do it again, even if the weather was blazing sunshine. In fact if you’re looking for something to do to get out off the beach, it would be ideal. Highly recommended.
