Running water has created this wonderful place. There is a lot of water in the winter, but you cannot swim because it is very cold. You can swim in the summer, but it has a little water and a lot of people. The water is still cold ...

if you follow the road from megalo papigo to mikro papigo, nearly 1,5 km before reaching your destination there is a rock-built wall to your left with a small sign saying ΡΟΓΚΟΒΟΥ ΟΒΙΡΕΣ...
Take the small rock-paved trail and you will find yourself witnessing one of the most spectacular things that you can enjoy in Zagori... the water of a stream reaches a point where two man-built walls together with some rock formations provided by nature produce an extravagganza of small waterfalls and little pools that in summer it would be almost like private jacuzzi... it's a pity I've visited it October...

A cool place to visit if you're in the area! We visited in springtime, so we didn't swim (and we couldn't really, because the water was still very shallow this time of year), but it was definitely worth it! The hike was easy and fun and the scenery was amazing!

This little place off the road on the way to Little Papingo is a sweet treasure of nature. The children clambered and splashed all around and played with frogs as we delighted in the idea of coming back in the summer months when the pool are full and we could bathe. The rock formations and the water pools are amazing to see.

Very impressive natural springs that you should not miss to visit. The water, the white rocks as well as the fresh air are making the spot truly amazing.

The title says it all! Going all the way there to discover that these were mostly manmade and the gates were open without water collection was a big disappointment! Thank god Papingo and the surroundings beauty had made up!!!

Unique landscape, beautiful place for a walk and taking pictures! During summer you can go swimming, but we went in November just to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Well it definetely worths to drive snake-like road to reach Papigo's villages. One of the must see places are the Ovires pools at Rogovo. Small natural limestone pools filled up with crystal clear water coming from water springs of Timfi mountain. During the hot days is an oasis just after a long hour walking. The temperature of the water is close to 10 degrees, so take a big breath before you dive. It usually has a lot of people but it is ok. And please leave the place clean!!!!

It's a lovely walk along small pools with running water. One can swim or simply walk for up to 30-60 minutes. It's possible to leave a car aside the road at the entrance to the foot path, or walk from the nearest villages.
