We spent an afternoon and a night here. Due to a recent earthquake, the North and Central entrances were closed which meant we had to go from the south via Chañaral. Unfortunately the access to the area passes through Chañaral's fringes where there is an...More

An island of cacti in an otherwise completely barren desert, Pan de Azucar is fascinating for those drawn to desolately beautiful landscapes. I loved walking along a washed-out road and stumbling upon a "field" of three types of cactus. There are also boats that will...More

The landscape is so beautiful and surreal. It looks like it is off our planet, just some other planet. The beach looks perfect. A very nice place for Photography. We have seen some Pelikans and you could take a boat to some island to see...More

Increadibly beautiful . Went there during winter, was desolate and amazing to have such a vast landscape all to yourself. The small very simple restaurants had the most amazing empanadas. And you have a view of the desert and sea, accompanied by lots of pelikans.

We've lived in Chile for over 4 years and hit all major tourist destinations, but this is definitely one of my favourites! It confirms my theory that the best places to see in Chile have very little tourist infrastructure - if you are willing to...More

Please remember to plan your visit in spring. This is the time when all the cactus will have flowers in them and the sight is amazing. If you are fortunate then you can see the desert flowers also. The beach sand is white, which adds...More

The best way to get to the park is by driving. That said, don't let that deter you from visiting. We had a nice evening camping by the beach and stargazing. We were there off-season so we practically had the entire beach to ourselves. However,...More

We spent the day with Etty and Carlos in the Nacional Parque. We have done many tours before but Etty and Carlos are two of the best ever! Etty was very knowledgeable about the region and we have learnt very much today. Apart from this...More
