Not for boarders!
Feb 2019 • Friends
This is primarily made of thin blue/red connecting tracks, crossing from mountain to mountain. If you’re lucky you’ll find a black detour on the way out and it won’t be to chopped up on the way back... as everyone is pretty much following the same route moguls are almost guaranteed and you can expect queues even on relatively quite days. Best left to family skiers looking for a gentle day out.

Awesome tour

Takes you over 4 mountain peaks. Has easy pistes for great speed and scenery and some more challenging pistes are available of you want. Comes by the Kingspark at muhlbach. Especialy recommended: the alm hut under the sinalco lift.

Well done to those who designed the Konigstour...It was SO easy to follow! You'd have to be blind to miss the orange/yellow direction signs. We had a lovely day exploring this beautiful region.

Nice family perfect tour

If you will go to Muhlbach in winter (even you are in some other part of Ski Amade Region) you should spend one day and go for this ski tour. The ski tour is good for skiers with almost all kind of skills. You need to reserve a few hours to collect the tour. Recommended!

Excellent self-guided ski tour

Well marked, great tour. My 12 year old and I had a fantastic time, epic conditions, weather and snow, no lift lines, just outstanding in every way and a great way to see a ton of terrain in one day. You reach 5 mountain peaks with amazing views at the top, and they're marked with "thrones" for photo ops.

What an awesome idea! I can't recommend it enough.

I've done the königstour 3 times already and it's still just brilliant.
32 km taking you from one village to the other across the mountain (maria alm, dienten & mühlbach) using just slopes and ski lift and NEVER repeating a slope or a lift (unless you want to ofcourse) the quickest I did it was in 4 hours so it a decent day of skiing with plenty of places to stop and eat or use the restrooms. The view is undescribable!

Start early. I love to be the first on the slope. If I remember correctly there is one village (i think maria alm) where the lifts open earlier then the others. So start there! It doesn't matter where you start you will always cover the full tour and finish where you started.

Amazing!

P.s get the map it's very easy to follow.

32km downhill ski route in Hochkönig area, Austria
Mar 2015 • Family
when preparing this trip I find most valuable information on the official website www.koenigstour.at and also on the Ski Amadé website and choosing Hochkönig as area for skiing. The entire 32 km tour is not for beginners but we started with skiing in the Mühlbach area which has black, red and blue slopes with the highest peak at 1822m over sea level. The free of charge buses also take us to Arthurhaus nearby which also had very nice slopes. You can start Königstour from either Mühlbach, Dienten, Hinterthal, Hintermoos or Maria Alm which gives the freedom of choice where to find an apartment or hotel. The entire length of slopes is 150km related to these villages. Königtour itself is a tour between all these villages and during this tour you dont ski the same slope twice. The highest point on this tour is 1900m over sea level. We usually start skiing after 10.00 each morning in mid-March but it would be better at 08.00 as the airtemperature raises very soon from -1 to +6 celcius in morning. The sun is very intensive and the snow gets soon wet which can require better physical conditions from the attendees. The tour itself can take half day and even longer by resting along the tour at restaurants who offer great scenic views, service and food. We enjoy this trip very much in will come back with entire family.
