Visited as part of a heritage skills placement on Santorini where we learned about the culture and traditions of Greece. This place was such an unexpected pleasure to visit! There’s an extensive collection of fascinating objects including traditional doors, coopering tools, agricultural objects and reconstruction of a dwelling and shop. It’s a true act of love to collect and save so many things that are so significant in preserving cultural heritage. I haven’t even mentioned the distillery itself, which was also so interesting. Can highly recommend the coffee/anise ouzo which was absolutely beautiful. Thank you, I loved it!

This distillery is absolutely wonderful. Nice historical tour plus you get to learn how ouzo is made. They make ouzo right on property, and it is award-winning. Great way to taste ouzo and the various liquids. Artimus does a fabulous tour. Well worth the stop.

This was part of a shore excursion on Santorini and it was well worth it. An old spirits distillery that is well preserved and turned into a museum and event hall.
Entering and seeing many antique pieces, including the original still, you get an education on the process as well as the different types of liquor and how they are made. You then go into a tasting room which is beautifully decorated, Greek music playing and the hostess dances as samples are distributed---- a throwback feeling to an old Anthony Quinn movie.

We did this trip on our own by taking the bus from Fiera to Mess agonia for €1.80 very good value it only takes about 15 mins.
Once you get off the bus cross the road and the Winery is in front of you walk up the road between the Crazy Donkey Brewery and the Winery where you will find the entrance.
The entrance is free as is the little tour which you do your self, when you come out you can buy the wine by the glass if you so wish there is a nice girl on the bar giving you a run down on the wines you might like to try,we chose a white and a vintage red the cost was €8 for both,we sat at a lovely table and were brought our wines they came with 3 dishes of nibbles at no extra cost and they gave us a free sweet wine very nice thank you ,they also brought us some local books to look at .
The white was our favourite so we bought a bottle for Christmas .

My husband and I had a private tour with a tasting and lunch afterward. Although our hostess did not speak the best English, she was gracious and eager to please. The lunch was phenomenal. The only issue was transportation - we had taken a taxi there but she couldn't find a taxi to take us back. We ended up walking, about an hour's walk, which was fine for us but other folks might not find this to be an acceptable option.

Visited as a large party the food was lovely. Only complaint was there wasn’t enough staff on. Also the wine was quite expensive and not the best we’ve had.

Its not well marketed, Since i had the interest to find a distillery found this on my own.Must do to see how they have preserved and displayed the curios. But nothing in detail about the Ouzo. 1 hr would be nice. The entry is 7 Euros.

Pros: nice tour made by a passionate young woman, that did her best to make it interesting. Loved the tasting at the end of the tour: raki, ouzo & 2 sweet liquors (peach and coffee). Nice insight in local life and traditional alcohol production, but if you go to the Wine Museum you don't learn anything new here. Were the only persons there so it was very "private tour" like.

Cons: secluded location. Hard to find, even with GPS. No proper signaling of the location, we drove around for 15 min before realizing it was the building in front of us that seemed closed and with a deserted parking lot. Seemed unwelcoming. The guide was really nice, but there isn't that much to show. Seemed expensive for what it is (7 E/p). Personally, I would have preferred to visit without a guide or with an audio guide. I like to admire things on my own pace.

Overall: nice thing to do in Santorini, if it's close to you or you have a car and lots of time, but if you're on limited time this shouldn't be on your priority list.

We looked for two days to find this place & we're happy that we did!
The museum is interesting & the tastings great, raki, ouzo & 2 liqueurs all distilled through different processes were a delight!

This was walking distance from our hotel (5 mins) Del Sol. There was just my husband and I, the lady who is a family member was a fantastic guide. Very interesting tour - loved the rooms on show - the changing styles of the ouzo distillery was informative. Thoroughly enjoyed the way we tasted the ouzo and the different liqueurs (loved the prickly Pear) and the lovely posters. It was a hot day and we enjoyed the coolness of the building. Well worth the visit
