Away from the hassle of the city, this temple is very peaceful and beautifully built. All the monks are living inside the temple monastery and complete their rituals and studies there only. Anyone can visit the temple from inside and worship there.
It was a small place, consisting of beautiful, cultural heritage. It was quite well maintained. The temple had a calm, peaceful aura. The walls of the temple were decorated with bright, vibrant colors. Overall the visit was satisfying. Worth the visit.
The Monastary is easy to reach from the main Mandi - Palampur highway, just after Baijnath town.

It's a Monastery. This the second oldest monastery in the country. Very serene and seeped in mystique. If possible read up on the sect of Buddhism this monastery monks practice and then visit the main hall & the prayer to understand the layout and practices.
Just about 10 KMs from Palampur and two KMs short of Baijnath is this Monastry worth a family visit. We were lucky to see some Religious prayers being conducted in sa very serene and peaceful surrounding.
