This a huge dam or perhaps I should say the water reservoir is huge. It's a great idea to spend an evening here while visiting Hospet. I say evening specifically because you see a spectacular sunset if it's not cloudy. Make sure you get up to the top of the dam for viewing sunset. If you are up to walking,... More

Just a short drive from Hampi town, this place is definitely worth a visit. The entry is Rs 20 per head and then the bus that takes you on the tour charges Rs 20 per head for a round-trip. It will take you right up till the light house, the dam, the boating pool, the recreational space and back. Definitely... More

Though we by passed through the NH13, The water levels were low we could go through the tunnels while reaching hospet from bangalore and also view the good sight of Dam gates from the rosd.

The tungabhadra dam looked good and the garden below was lovely. The musical fountains played a mix of songs of all languages. The gardens are neatly maintained and there is also a deer park and an aquarium house as attractions.
