It is a very nice a calm beach. The road to the beach is sandy and bumpy but the beach is worth it. The parking lot is 5 EUR a day, there is also a bar at the beach and you can rent an umbrella with 2 chairs for 10 EUR a day (which is a very good price for what we saw at other beaches). Its not the most beautiful beach but its big, calm, not crowded, so I would say worth visiting if you want to relax.

A very long and winding road to piscinas. Worth it the dunes are amazing and because of its situation - remote - very few people. It is a long drive - and only cars & small camping cars can get through the gap. Some off road driving also. The dunes are amazing and forever shifting. Clear water and nothing on site either side.

We've read in our book guide that Piscinas is a specioal place, and we were not deceived. The road to go there is not easy... you drive on a mountain road... but it's beautiful! You also crose former mine town and abandoned mines and equipment... looks a bit like a movie... not sure what style.. sci-fi???

Beach itself is beautiful, two big parkings, there is cafe where you can shower and use toilets (and of course have some amasing spritz!!!)

The only watch out - there were strong waves and there is current that moves you out of the beach. So we were in water and suddenly we realized that instead of being 5 meters from teh beach are at 20! 25! 30! (It's deep and you do not touch bottom after 5 m), so we tried to go back, but with strong current you get tired quicky, and on top when you approach the beach the waves become stronger and cover you, so respiration becames a problem. I am a good swimmer but it was not easy to get back to the beach. So watch out, and make sure you always touch the bottom, or avoid big waves. Especially watch out kids.

Quite difficult to get there..
Pls beware as the signs on the road are not correct.. When we came to a small town on the way to Piscinas beach, there were two signs that pointed to the same direction- and we followed. Road was simply awful (it cannot even be described as road). It is a narrow path with "canals" made from rain- and goes sharply down. You drive at 5 kmph and come to the old mining after what we couldn't continue but turned back up to the village (lost 1.5 hours on this)- and in the village asked for directions - and the people pointed we should go in tottaly different direction. Then we went to Ingurtosu and followed signs to Psicinas beach. Quite a long drive to get there. The road is not a road at all the last 2 km but it is sand with wholes (that someone should have fixed)..
But the beach itself is nice. if the weather is nice it is a nice place to stay (the day we came was windy and not for swimming).
So, nice but pay ask for directions.

What a great beach! We visited mid/end June and there were very few people about. There were 2 beach bars/restaurants that offered bathroom facilities and had some showers.
The golden sand is fantastic, the water is clear and cool and there are some waves!
The waves are not big enough to surf, but makes for some good swimming.

A really wild beach near old suggestive carbon mines. Be careful when you swim because sometimes there are dangerous whirpools. Never go in if the sea is not extra-flat, even if you are a strong swimmer.

Very nice beach far from the beaten path. Requires long drive and few kilometers of dirt road. Have two well equipped restaurants, sun umbrellas for rent and safeguard on duty. Very sensitive to mistral so sea is no go when windy. However, nice dunes and endless beach to walk. Some places far from the main beach occupied by nudist. Overall, would like to come back when less windy.

We arrived there after a whole day of driving. The place itself is simply impressive, the huge sandy beach made from the sand from a desert. While driving through tight valley full of remainings of the mining from another era makes you impatient. When you Access the parking space you can already hear the roaring of the vawes. after a short walk on the sand you reach the huge sandy beach, which makes you spontaneously to say. "WOW!".

We spent the night on the parking place with couple of Campers. At the morning we drank a good italian coffee on an empty beach and than tasted the see :)

The places around are also known as an offroading paradise, which makes everything even more interesting.

I strongly recommend to see the beach and try to take a dive in the see and to visit the ruins from mining era and to try to find some offroad adventure :)

There is also a Hotel, which is overprized and a Camping site a Little bit deeper in the valley, which would have a normal prise, if you do not have to buy coins that you can take a hot shower! Not for my taste!

a superb unique view in the middle of high sandy dunes from which you all can roll down to a pristine and wild beach. ideal spot for windsurfing, you can enjoy a large sandy beach and a charming hotel, Le Dune, where you would be warmly embraced at sunset in a romantic and unforgettable stay. be careful and bring your sunscreen with you. spassiaisi meda (=enjoy everything !-)
