Thermal baths are a must do

These are the best thermal baths I have experienced so far. The views are breathtaking, especially from the outside pool. Plenty of small rooms full of interesting content. It was... read more

Made it back to Vals in winter this time. We stayed from 11am until 6pm and saw it in lots of different conditions, morning light, afternoon, sunset, night and snow. We took in kindles and sat and read by the big vista windows for a few hours. It looked like people brought in their own drinks / water too which... More

This is the most special thermal bath I have ever been to! They only let a certain amount of people in at once so you feel like you are alone. The architecture is fantastic. It feels like a dream when you are in this place. It's definitely worth the price, which is admittedly not cheap.

When in Switzerland, Therme Vals is a must!!! The train ride from Zurich to Vals itself is a treat as you drive along the scenic route of Switzerland - not that they don't have any routes that is not scenic at all. The architecture, style and facilities is simply elegant and tasteful. The outdoor pool was fantastic looking up at... More

Well - this place is for the fans of style / design / architecture. Limited number of visitors and high prices make it somewhat luxurious as well and the relatively few people even relaxing. No screaming kids/teenagers but also no snacks or drinks. Basic in that sense but very nice as a relaxation place and gift for the eyes.

This Thermal bath was designed by Peter Zumthor architect. The whole compound is so amazing. It creates the experience that I never experienced before and dont think that anywhere else could compare to this one. There are several pools with different temperature and unique mood that you have to see by yourself. The camera or mobile phone is strictly not... More

You have to earn it. You have to travel to the last village in a lonely mountain valley. You need to have reservations. You have to pay a steep entrance fee of 80 swiss francs. You will be surprised and see is worth the effort! This thermal bath is made of water and stone in the midst of a beautiful... More

This is a must do, I have never felt so calm, at ease and relaxed the way i did. The architecture is amazing and breathtaking which makes the atmosphere a place of calmness. They are a lot of rooms with different temperatures that you can explore. Great place to relax

We made one mistake: visiting for only one day. That said, we flew into Zurich that day and had a flight from Malpensa the next, so there wasn't much we could do. I'm an architect so I wanted to see the oft-published Peter Zumthor masterpiece. It was everything I expected and more. It's a great building and a wonderful spa.... More

Hard to write a review about a place so special. The architecture is amazing, the views from the outdoor pool stunning, a nice variety in pools regarding size and temperature. Great steam bath. I would try to come early to avoid crowds or stay at the hotel to enjoy outside hour bathing.

These are the best thermal baths I have experienced so far. The views are breathtaking, especially from the outside pool. Plenty of small rooms full of interesting content. It was made to explore it. Loved all of it, but music room was one of my favourites. Definitely a place to spend a couple of hours just relaxing. The restaurant has... More
