The beach, although artificial, is a really nice place to visit plenty of walking space and the sea was warm in January. At low tide there are nice rock pools to explore. Brilliant place to sit and watch the sun go down. Toilets located at beach and grass above offers nice picnic spot…

This a beautiful, well maintained sandy beach. Well looked for the tourists and locals as this is one of Melbourne's great photo opportunities, The Beach Huts!! If you are new to the area, this is a selfie must. Bring your dog, bring the kids, bring your whole family there is heaps of room on the beach and the water is crystal clear and great for a paddle. All the local car parks have fees, but you might get a space down a side street on the the side of the road.…

Love the front. Great selection of bars and restaurants. People were trying to put their rubbish in bins but they were all overflowing. Brighton Beach is really made up of a few smaller beaches that connect. You have Middle Brighton [includes the pier], Brighton itself, Dendy Street Beach, Hollows Beach to Green Point. It does get very busy in the Summer months, especially the Dendy Street Beach part as the Brighton Bathing Boxes are there. It is a popular area for the locals and tourists alike to exercise - SUPing, swimming, walking, dog walking to name a few. There are always photographers to be found and even the occasional model photo shoot. No matter where you walk on the beach you lays have Melbourne looking over your shoulder in the distance. The Middle Brighton Pier leads to the marina and is only accessible by locals. There is a great waling path and a bike track. You will find a cafe and place to eat here too as well as a large carpark. Another carpark can be found at Green Point - both have app access or ticket machines. It really is a lovely place to relax. The sand is truly golden and the water quite clear. Keep a lookout for some shells and the Bayside Coastal Artists Trial [see seperate review] - you can learn about the history, indigenous / local culture through the eyes of a range of artists. A great way to spend a few hours.…

Brighton is one of Melbourne's most prosperous suburbs. It has a nice beach, set off by the bathing boxes. The bathing boxes are not big, but they are colourful. It's a great thing to be able to say "meet you at the box." By the way, buying a bathing box can be an expenisve exercise, many bathing boxes stay in the same family over several generations.…
