We visited with our two under-six children who had a good time in the small play area outside. The gingerbread for sale was very good and clearly made on-site rather than mass produced junk. Hot drinks are served with a little Australia shaped gingerbread biscuit which is a nice tasty touch. We also had a slice of Tim tam cheese cake which was good but not fantastic. One of us ordered a hot chocolate which was disappointing and tasted like supermarket chocolate powder in hot water. We’d probably go again if passing through town but not if our kids were older (or if we didn’t have any).

Response from B5188UEjulies, Manager at The Gingerbread House

Hi, thanks for taking the time to review our business and the positive comments. Sorry you didn’t enjoy the hot chocolate. We use Cadbury’s hot chocolate and hot milk so unsure why it tasted like water. Whenever you’re not enjoying something you should always speak with management or the owners, we all want to ensure everyone enjoys what they ordered and would love to resolve any issues straight away.

We stopped in here after driving by many times. There's lots of photo ops, and we saw quite a few other people taking their pictures near the entrance, given that the building itself looks like an actual gingerbread house. The inside is also decorated in line with this is well. There's a wide range of lollies, quite a few of which I'd never seen elsewhere. The site also has a cafe with coffee & cakes, and seating indoors and out, plus a children's play area.

We had morning tea at The Gingerbread House and it was 10/10. Great coffee, lots of gluten free options, so many lollies to choose from and a lovely setting.

This house is choc-a-block full of lollies, amazing variety, and does coffee/tea as well! Don't take-away... sit outside and watch the world go by!

An excellent stop, just of the highway and so many choices. Sweets, drinks and a snack for all. Friendly locals and service was great. Busy on a Sunday afternoon in a small country town that is worth your visit.
