Wildlife Safari, Olive, Beer and Wine Tasting Day Tour from Cape Town

18 reviews
Combine a game drive, a craft beer tasting, and a wine tasting in a single tour from Cape Town. Planning this multi-stop excursion independently may seem daunting, but this tour arranges all the details in advance. Enjoy the scenery while a driver navigates up the West Coast to Buffelsfontein, where you'll embark on a guided game drive. Visit both the Darling Breweries and the Groote Post Wine Estate to taste local wines and beers without worrying about a sober ride back to Cape Town.

Charming museum depicting life over 100 years ago in Darling. Everyday objects are combined with personal stories to tell the history of Darling.

We were on our way through Darling to Jacob's Bay when I saw a road sign to the museum and couldn't resist. Glad I made the detour. An amazing little museum depicting the history of the area. The curator was friendly and knowledgeable and there is also a little shop to the left of the entrance desk. A bonus was another building on the side that had agricultural implements and some stunning old horse carts, etc.Well worth a visit.

What a lovely trip into the past! Great to see a rare, old FD Henning, Alice, ginger beer bottle! The meticulously recreated household scenes of yesteryear, are a joy to behold, and from Victorian fashion to Boer war memorabilia, there really is something for everyone to enjoy. Truly R20 well spent!

The place we were staying suggested we visit here and it was well worth the time and small entrance fee. We knew nothing about Darling before we stayed in the town for a couple of nights but this museum helped us learn a lot more. It is very well set out with lots to interest the non-local and you could easily spend an hour or two here.

Traveled with friends and we were surprised to discover such a well presented collection. Loved the farming section.
