Well priced small chalets right by the damn where the animals come to rest and drink. Not very luxurious but location is key as one has the option to choose a more luxurious cottage but further from the animals. Awesome experience for kids to experience...More

The staff couldn’t give a flying duck if you arrive or not and they do little to assist. The pin for the place on google maps, using an iPhone 7, took us to a remote dirt road in Darling. It’s a good 20 minute drive...More

Our visit to Bufflesfontein was great - they are a lot cheaper than many of the nearby game drives, and although they don't have the full Big 5, we saw all of the wildlife that they advertise on their website. Our guide was very informative...More

Big cats in cages and place looks like derelict old farm. Drive in old massive truck very noisy and stinky. Long drive often without seeing anything for 30 mins.

Our trip to Buffelsfontein was very disappointing for the following reasons; I specifically booked a game drive at feeding time only to hear on the game drive that they don't feed the animals on a Sunday. When I made the booking for the game drive...More

We had a wonderful experience when we stayed over at Buffelsfontein. The rooms were clean and neat with a true nature view and experience. The Game drive was interesting and great, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Would most certainly recommend.

Potentially this could be a nice lodge and I suspect with investment and hard work it will be in a few years. However it needs much doing to it to really attract tourists. Rooms were pretty cold and very basic. I didn’t expect luxury but...More

Beautiful Buffelsfontein...probably the nearest and best kept safari secret close to Cape Town! We saw black leopard, rhino, giraffes, roaming herds of eland, zebra and wildebeest, and even meerkats and a delightful Cape Fox. But the highlight of our afternoon game drive was witnessing the...More

We had a fun afternoon here, only the two of us on a game drive. We saw lots of animals in the first 90 minutes including a rhino and giraffe. Then after a break we went to feed the lions and cheetah. This was excellent...More

Buffelsfontein is very small and quiet in comparison to Kruger, but that is one of the reasons we love it so much. No elephants, but sure you will see plenty in Kruger. Nowadays restaurants cater for many different dietry... More
