Famous all over the world, this small beach is truly a pearl. Crystal clear water and a sunset where the sun's rays enter the door. The initial journey (about 15 min) does not weigh on you when you find this show in front of you.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. We had a hard time finding the location because GPS brings you to an overlook. Just go to San Nicola Arcella and follow signs for Bagni Marinelli where you will find a strip of Lidos. You will see at the end of this lido area, there are stairs to climb the rocky Arco Magno, after you reach the top you can then climb down into the clear blue waters of the arch. It's also possible to swim into the grotto or even take a paddle boat over.

Must do!,,,
If you visit SAN Nichola Arcella take a trip to Acro Magno. We walked across from the beach on the Lido resort side. It took us 25 minutes to get there but only 15 minutes to walk back. We went swimming and it was deserted with only one family early in the morning in mid June. No shops bring water and good pear of shoes. The walk in 2 areas has no ledge and some boulders and loose rock yet I found it manageable and doable. I’m afraid of heights and did it without any challenges. Both my husband and I are in our 50’s and would do it again.

I really love this place. It's wonderful and there is a magical atmosphere: something special and indescribable. However, it's just a bit complicated to arrive. You can park your car in a modest parking near "Lido Marinella". But the real difficulty is to arrive to "Arco Magno". A walk for the most enterprising.

The place is really nice, but you will never find it post-card like in August. Unfortunatelly, flocks of shrieking tourists come there either by foot or by tourist boats and spoil all the magic scenery. I recommend visiting in low season to enjoy it fully.

We visited this place by land from Praia a Mare. We rent a bike and drive as far as road ended. There ware stairs and path to the other site of the cliffs to the another beach. Just cross this beach and get to the cave path to Arco magno. I realy dont think that path is dangerous at all from Praia a Mare side.

A really enchanting place in Calabria...probably not the best option for old people since there is a bit of walk and might be not the easist walk of life...but is definitely worth it.
One of the best 5 in Calabria.

Salve, come si accede all’Arco Magno a piedi?

Grazie

Grazie anticipatamente a chi risponderà. Buona serata.
