Great educational staff... but the butterfly garden has 5 butterflies per enclosure... the insect talk was very nice though.

A really nice side visit that provided interaction with insects and up close education with a guide. The gardens and settings were beautiful and I leaned a lot about the natural world. This information inspired me as I spent more time in the rainforest.
Our tour guide was brilliant and hilarious and made insects into rock stars. She gave the most interesting and colorful presentation of any tour we took in Costa Rica. The butterflies were almost an afterthought (still beautiful though).
One of the most informative activities on our visit to Costa Rica. The visit does not take long, but it is well worth the time. As is the case with many of the presentations in the Monteverde Reserve, this is a very worthwhile activity.

My husband, 1.5 year old son, and I went in July 2017 and loved the beautiful butterflies, leaf-cutter ants, and other beetles and insects. We learned a lot and would highly recommend it! The staff was very enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful.

We actually got to take out some morpho butterfly's newly hatched and set them into their enclosure, bit of a highlight . Our guide was real enthused, loved her beetles, loved her keenness and her energy. Well done, good tour.
