A good walk through the jungle in the evening. Chris, our tour guide, did a great job pointing out different wildlife including snakes and a Pikachu. Was a great start down in Costa Rica

We'd done a couple of day time nature walks elsewhere in Costa Rica but this was by a long way the best. It was actually much easier to see things at night as it's pitch black apart from where the guide shines his (powerful and focused) torch. We saw a variety of birds, insects and snakes - some very close... More

Firstly, we so wanted to love this. We love nature, and viewing it in it's nature environment. But there was nothing 'natural' about this night tour experience. Firstly, it was very disorganised. It took forever to get everyone into groups. We were left waiting for at least 20 minutes after the first groups left. This meant that the others were... More

If you are spending time in the rain forest I would highly recommend this tour, as the experience you have at night is very different to the day. Thought the price of the tour was very reasonable, and our guide made sure that we were kept supplied with torches, although I would recommend you bring your own, high powered one... More

We had a short amount of time to see and do everything we wanted in the Monteverde region. Our selection of this night tour was based on the recommendation of our hotel staff. Having looked at all the reviews and photos, I think any night tour will provide you a remarkable look into this fascinating forest. We were picked up... More

My boyfriend and I did the night tour at this refuge and it was a beyond amazing experience!! We come from a busy city and didn't really expect to see much, we just wanted to have a different experience seeing the forest at night. With that said we got to see a tarantula, glowing mushrooms, beautiful sleeping birds, bats, and... More

We did the Night Walk, which takes roughly 2 hours. The Guide was really professional, the park is amazing. Unfortunately, the tour takes place for too many people (roughly 8 people per group and approx 5 groups at the same time). It's quite expensive, and therefore not really worth the money. + Park / Location + Professional Guide - expensive... More

We just got back from a great night walk through the wildlife refuge. We were picked up from our hotel by the tour van. All of us were given flashlights to help see while we were walking, but also to spot the animals. Our guide was Sergio. My friend had already read good reviews about him. He didn't disappoint! I... Did see some wild life, birds and other creatures - it is quite amazing to wend your way up and down trails in pristine forest; to hear the "voices" of the wild life in the silent woods all around, if not immediately visible. Trees and flora are magnificent and tell many stories.

Our guide Jean Carlo Rodriguez obviously knew the refuge like the back of his hand, and we were astounded by the range of birds, animals, and a snake that he found and pointed his monocular on for us. When one of the other night guides radioed him with the sighting of a wild cat he was excited like a kid... More
