One of our highlights from Monteverde. You will see some amazing snakes from all regions in Costa Rica. I disagree with the reviews below about the price: this place has a fantastic collection of Costa Rica snakes and frogs.

Went around 6pm so the snake were more active. At the front desk, we were given flashlights to see the animals. It was like a scavenger hunt. Enjoyed more than at a zoo because you were actually able to see the animals. Kinda small but...More

Quite a lot of snakes, but the premises was quite small and we enjoyed our visit, very quickly. We had fun spotting the snakes with their camoflague and were happy to have found each one. It was good and educational, and we saw all the...More

Cool place for kids, I just wish their front staff was a little more active helping to explain the exhibits. When we went there, the four staff members were just lounging around in the front, while we were left to our wanderings.

The snakes and frogs were interesting to see, but a bit overpriced for what you get to see. The staff were helpful at finding some of snakes.

...But a bit small for what you pay. My 4 & 6 year old enjoyed seeing the snakes up close, and they do have quite a variety of local snakes and some very unique frogs. I thought it was a bit pricey at $45 usd...More

We were able to see lots of local snakes and some frogs that were impossible to see on our hikes. It’s a small place and you can see it all in about 45 minutes. So it may seem a bit pricey given how quick this...More

Not worth what they charge for admission. A wide variety of snakes & frogs, but really just in glass habitats. There was a “guide” and supposed tours every hour, but we weren’t there long enough see any tour going on.
