watched some ladies basketball action with the Perth Waves, plenty of good viewing in the stands as not many spectators, only 5-10 minutes from Perth in the affluent suburbs. Parking can be tight as the location is co-located by many other sports groups.
The $48m centre effectively delivers 6 basketball courts for suburban use
- that's less than the old Perry Lakes stadium
- it's 10 less than the 16 courts needed
- we now have 28 byes each week because of insufficient court capcity

where do i start......signage is terrible, not enough courts, water facilities are not located close enough to the courts, louvres have to be opened manually....and they cancel everything on 'supposedly' 40 degree days! what a joke.
A waste of $40M. No improvement over the old facility. Just another monument to the architect who obviously didn't listen to a word from the basketballers.
Don't expect to be able to buy a beer. Its hot and they have had to shorten game times...More
