This Park close to central Brussels is dominated by major Victorian era buildings which today serve as museums covering the military history of Belgium, aviation and automobiles. I haven't visited the automobile museum (I gather it is very expensive) but the military museum is reasonable and extensive covering the Napoleonic Wars, WW1 etc. The aviation museum is quite spectacular and... There are separate listings for both the cinquantenaire park & museum, so I assume this is for the large triple archway. A magnificent archway reminiscent of the Brandenburg gate & arc de triomphe. Sitting above the beautiful park on a slight hill you get a nice view over the park & city in the distance. There is an underpass, so... More

The museum is great for rainy days in brussles, it is also close to many other places in brussels worth seeing. The feature that i enjoy the most is the ability to go up on the arc for free, which gives you a great view of the city.

The park is large and well maintained, a favorite for joggers who work in the near by EU institutions and children who live in the area, not to mention dog owners. Some interesting statues ( some by well known artists like Constantin Meunier). The pavilion of human passions by architect Victor Horta has been recently restored and can be visited... More

I find this museum difficult to categorize. It's not, strictly speaking, an art museum. It's also not a museum of crafts, but both are represented well and the places where they intersect are well served. This museum is less likely to be full, which means you can take your time to look at things in depth.

I visited this musem because at the time of my visit there was an exhibition - Sarcofagi and I really wanted to see it. It was very interesting and I have to say that the whole museum was a great experience. It is really huge so you need to count with couple of hours spent there if you really want... More

It's not far from the parlamentarium so you can visit it the same day. We were lucky and got some sun to walk around (fake one as it was cold as hell). Beautiful monument!
