Mirasol, is a Local beach located in Algarrobo, specifically in an area called Mirasol too. This area is also known by the locals as "Algarrobo Norte". This IS NOT A BEACH TO SWIM!!!. But, It's a beach where you can spend all day perfectly fine. You can have a nice pic nic (please if you do so, bring back your trash; let's all take a good care of our home). OR you can walk!. From this beach walking south, in aprox 5 kms you will find Downtown Algarrobo. A place where you can eat delicious sea food, enjoy a nice cold beer, or a hot coffe, depending on your mood, and walking through the different arts & crafs galleries - "ferias artesanales" in spanish (probably a useful word to learn if you go there, because it's a good reference point). It's a quiet, but very, very beautiful place. Locals are very welcoming and you can find hostals & hotels, or you can either rent an apartment, or a house... It's up to you. Now, if you aren't much of fan of crowded places, I would recommend to visit this place during the week, or weekends that aren't hollidays. It tents to get a little packed. Oh!... I forgot to mention the BIGGEST pool in the WORLD is here!!!... on your walk from Mirasol to Downtown, you can find it in San Alfonso del Mar. (You can't get in, it's a private condo, but you can take pictures from the beach, they all look pretty good). So, Connectivity. You can get to Algarrobo from Santiago, or Valparaíso. You can take a bus (aprox $6,000 CHILEAN pesos), or you can rent a car and go there. There are plenty of ways to get around in Algarrobo; Local busses, taxies (with a fixed fare-black ones- , and with fares that varies depending on the time...these are known as "colectivos", and are yellow). So, again, if you ever have the chance to run away from Santiago, or just feel in the mood to disconnect yourself and going to the beach, Algarrobo is BY FAR the place to go. Only an hour 15 mins away from Santiago (or 90 mins bus ride) and you can find peacefulness and amazing views.

Mirasol beach is not a swimable beach as the surf is dangerous and there are no lifeguards.
My kids did enjoy making a “swimming hole” with sand that filled when the big waves came in. We stayed about an hour in the sun and then left to go to the restaurant that is close by.

Mirasol and El Yeco beach, located in north Algarrobo are the perfect option for relaxing in the coast. This "hidden" beaches are part of a big wetland, mainly in Mirasol beach, althought it is forbidden to swim, this place is a beautiful part of Algarrobo to visit with the family (also perfect for pets) and away from all the people in the main beach. Perfect for a picnic in the coast and in any time of the year. Totally recommended for relax and rest.

I went to Algarrobo in 2015, with my best friend and my Dad, it was an adventure trip because i was younger and I used to do this kind of activities, this beach is so calm and the sand was so white and clean, we could climb the rocks near of the ocean and we could see the furious waves smashing against the rocks too. Beautiful sky and nice people around, there are a lot of people of brazil and france, so the culture is going to increase. Good experience there, hope to come back again!

Regular beach with not very inclusive access to a “pirate cave” that in the end is too tiny and is used as a bathroom. If you arrive in the morning and stay it will be full.
For the exit an impressive high
