We visited Bondi for 3 weeks over Christmas and new year from England. Our two children aged 14 and 11 had never tried surfing so decided they wanted a surf lesson. We looked online to find somewhere and let's go surfing came up. The website was very easy to use and we booked the lesson for a day and time... More

The best feeling when you catch your first wave. The school is great and I believe you should visit it when you visit Sydney. Happy and friendly atmosphere and a lifetime experience.

It was my first surfing experience (3 lessons). One of the best things I did in Australia. Great instructors in one of the most famous spots of the world to surf. Don't think twice if you re considering experiencing surfing

I wanted to give surfing a go when I visited Sydney so I booked a lesson with these guys. I made the mistake of trying to get a jump forward by looking at YouTube and practicing a few moves, but only learnt bad habits.... The way Lets Go Surfing teach it makes so much more sense! I didn't really get... More

I rented surf board and wetsuit at "Lets Go Surfing" on Bondi beach and gat what I was looking for. They have plenty of equipment so booking I probably not necessary unless you are a big group. Would however good to book lessons in advance. (wish I had done that)

I had previously taken lessons in California to learn to surf with limited success. This time was completely different. The nature of the waves made them very small and easy to catch which is important for learning. They didn't have the large drop that can be intimidating, especially once you dip the front of your board once. The instructors were... More

G'day! Cali is great...but we think Bondi is magic! As you have experienced Bondi faces due south which is quite unique in among Sydney Beaches & this provides us with almost perfect learning conditions.....most of the time! We also schedule our lessons around the best tides so you can ride a more gentle wave & don't have to take the... More

Good group of professionals running this place. Only problem is we had to walk a,lot to get there and back. They provided wet suits and great tips. Our daughter loved it and we got to get a 2 hour break from normal beach duties It costs $20 per hour to rent a board form the Rental guys. BUt this supervised... More

G'day! Thanks for the review stoked to hear the kids loved it & you got a break while our team looked after the kids! We try to surf at the safest most gentle location on the beach depending on the conditions of the day, so sometimes we walk along the beach to find this spot. Thanks heaps for choosing to... More

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighborhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
