Hasn’t been crowded at any stage of our stay. Lots of backpackers and it’s an easy walk from Bondi or Coggee

Narrow but deep beach. Filled with surfers, volleyball, playground, great views, on the Bondi to Coogee shore walk.

Stop, relax and swim, before you continue on your coastal walk. Nice place for swimming, not crowded

Considering the distance to Bondi I know where I would rather go for a swim in the ocean and it’s this nice secluded beach. With access to a nice play area for the kids as well as kiosk and amenities you can spend the day...More

Short walk from Bondi Beach, picturesque. Tamarama point has a good lookout. The beach itself is quite small, though waves seem to be stronger than in Bondi.

This place sells Mango Smoothies for $9.50 but they are actually milkshakes ( ice cream ) and do not expect anything healthy in it. They do not mention this and only admitted when asked saying this is how it’s done all over Aus!( yeah right)...More

Swimming in Tama you have to be a strong swimmer its a hard and fast surf with a rip that will take you to New Zealand

When we passed here on out walk from Coogie to Bondi there was an Art on the Sea festival with interesting exhibits from many artists. At the end of the walk you could vote for the best artist.

Would you believe that at one time the entire beach was covered by an amusement park, complete with a zoo and rides? Take the coastal walk to Tamarama and read the signs - the area has an interesting history. It's a beautiful beach, with clean...More

Love this beach but parking can be a nightmare wnd there is often a strong rip which gets poor swimmers and tourists into trouble.

Best transport option from Tamarama Beach to Alfred Street (7 Replies)
Hello I am visiting Australia for the first time in December. I have booked a trip to the Blue Mountains on Saturday 27 December 2014, however, we are staying in Tamarama (Dellview Street) and need to get to Starbucks corner of Alfred and Pitt Street to meet the rest of our tour for 7.05am. My first idea was to book a taxi in advance as its so early, I thought this would be the best option. However, I have been advised that a taxi would be expensive. (I would pay the taxi fare if I...More

I think if you wanted to catch a bus you would have to walk down to Bondi Rd and catch a 380 leaving Bondi at 600am,gets into CQ at 640am then a 5 minute walk to Starbucks. The one prior leaves at 525am and arrives at 605am
