This part of San Isidro is the way Argentina looked decades ago. It is an authentic place, well guarded and with a beautiful garden overlooking the river. Check out the tiles in the patio as well as the lovely well. When you are done with the place, just walk around the neighborhood and look at the architecture, gardens and sculptures. Not all the buildings are well kept as this house is, but still interesting and serene.

We booked a tour on the Sturla Boat Ride of the Tigre Delta. We were picked up at our hotel with a tourist bus, comfortable. Before reaching the pier we stopped at Quinta Los Ombues, an old colonial house. The home furnishings were from the colonial era. The gardens were beautiful with a view of the River Plate. The guide was informative explaining life in colonial times. Worth a visit on the way to Tigre. No entrance fee.

this is a must if you happen to be near the San Isidro Cathedral, specially during warm weather. Its only a few blocks away from the Cathedral, inside the historical district.

This beautiful colonial farm house is 5 minutes walk from the square and cathedral. It has a fine garden with views out to the Rio de la Plata. The house itself is interesting and gives a good indication of colonial life in Buenos Airess.

This exhibit was great learning experience. Discovered one of the great ladies of Argentina. The museum is located with a fantastic view of the river from a flower filled garden.

One of the greatest attractions of San Isidro. It is a country house located in a circuit of traditional residences that begins near the Cathedral. It is a villa with a residence
colonial style where there is a historical museum of the city, very interesting. The house shows furniture from the period, very well preserved, as well as the entire property. There is a park that offers a panoramic view of the ravines and the river. To highlight the attention of the staff at the place, they are all very friendly and willing to provide information to visitors.
Admission is free
