It takes a while to get there, but to see Fanne Alm is worth the effort. The village looks like hunderd years ago and the mountain views are breaththaking. It is worth to take 2 hours hike from Fanne Alm to Brixener Hutte.

It's a hut village at 1735m with some impressive surroundings. It was covered with snow when we visited, and it was in the middle of spring so it came as a nice change of pace for our holidays. Kids were playing, building a snowman, we were walking around, you know, a well-spent

Definitely worth a visit. Come early (before 9 AM) and you can park right at the village. Later arrivals have to park at the start of the access road/path, about 4km away. Nice walk though ;)
