We made a point of visiting the castle during the time of the guided visit (every day at 2pm in summer, only in Swedish) and the hour spent wandering through the grounds of the fortified mansion and its rooms was a delight.

It is a beautiful place especially in springtime. To fully appreciate it book a tour and learn about its exciting history. While you are there you should visit the "Biblioteksruinen" not far away from the castle. It is a magical place!!
