Have just returned from a fabulous 2 week holiday in Sri Lanka with Lanka Tracker where we visited Hortons Plains, Bundala, Yala, Uda Walawe, Sinharaja, finishing off with a whale watching trip in Mirrisa with Raja Whales. The planning of the holiday was handled very efficiently by Christine who had endless patience with our stream of questions and constant changes to plan. Thank you for putting together a great programme of activity that matched our ideas. Before we departed we asked for a naturalist guide who could show us a wide range of birds and animals. Sanjay, who was our guide and driver, lived up to his excellent reviews and did not disappoint - he was superb in every way We saw all the wildlife we hoped for including leopards twice, elephants having a mud bath and bathing in a lagoon, jackal, flying fox roost and at least 148 different birds ( I missed a few that Sanjay saw). Sanjay knew all the best places to see wildlife, whilst avoiding the worst of the crowds which was a real bonus. Throughout the holiday he was very attentive to our needs and always available to make sure everything was going according to plan. I felt totally safe and comfortable at all times. We also really like the way Lanka do business. They seem to care about the people they deal with whether it is the safari driver in the park, foot guides in Sinharaja, or the hotels they use. Sanjay gave the impression that Lanka is an ethical, honest and trustworthy organisation. We never felt we were being pushed toward something that was not in our best interests. This is a quality we really value. On a personal level Sanjay was always professional, and was friendly and warm with a good sense of humour. We would have no hesitation in recommending Lanka Tracker and would use them again. We might just come back again to see if we can get that view of a leopard at 25 metres this time - guaranteed of course by Sanjay!…

We have spent 1 day Safari tour in Udawalawe with our great guide Sanjaya from Lanka Tracker. We have booked this trip in advance and everything fitted as agreed. Sanjaya picked us directly from our hotel in Matara/Polhena. At the beginning of the trip we visited Elephant Transit Home where we saw many baby elephants during feeding session which was very impressive. After lunch we went to safari. Sanjaya worked before in Udawalawe park for many years, so he knows this place very well. He took us with different ways than the others cars went. He was all the time sitting with us and he always stopped driver when he saw something interesting (bird, animal). In total we saw 37 types of animals (we've got list of seen animals). He also made pictures for us with professional camera. Thank you Sanjaya for perfect adventure. Pal's family from Slovakia.…

We had an excellent half day tour of Udawalawe with Sanjaya, whose knowledge of the wildlife and the park was absolutely top notch. We saw elephants (of course), deer, peacocks (one did a display right in front of the jeep), crocs, giant tree squirrels, bee eaters, a kingfisher, several types of eagle, painted cranes, water buffalo and a host of other birds. We did not spend time in queues of jeeps and in fact for 90% of the time we were the only jeep in the area, which made it feel very special. Everything was made easy for us, from pick up to drop off. A shout out too for Christine who kept in touch by email as we were arranging the trip (and changing our minds a few times) and provided useful tips that helped us crystallise our plans. I would thoroughly recommend LankaTracker as a professional operator with highly professional staff.…

We spent the day with Sanjay touring Udawalawe national park in December 2019. We had an incredible day seeing elephants in the Elephant Transit Home, plus a host of other wildlife in the national park including two leopard cubs! Sanjay is a great tour guide having previously been a park ranger himself and knows everything there is to know about the animals you see there. Christine organised our trip beforehand and ensured everything ran smoothly. Don't hesitate to take a trip with these guys if you're in Sri Lanka, we'll definitely be back!…

We spent 4 days with Sanjay who picked us up from Ella and amidst stormy weather managed to salvage a full day of activity despite not being able to access Adam's Peak or the Nine Arches. He also gained access to Yala avoiding the crowds and found us a Leopard within the first hour. This was one of four we saw during the day. overall we saw 55 species and recognised that having Sanjay with us as an expert on the animals was so much better than so many of the competitors we saw who only had a driver distant in the cab. The hotels were good and all driving safe and comfortable. Christine as the organiser was accessible and helpful. Highly recommended.…
