We used Max and team for transportation to and from the airport, short trips and private tour. Plus ship wreck and turle snorkel experience. Team was very friendly and flexible if we needed to tweak experience and or change pick up times (easily done ia WhatsApp). Diving/snorkeling with turtles was simply amazing... Kids loved it. Highly recommend the team.

Max ferried us around in his comfortable MPV during our ten days in Barbados, both on a four-hour island tour and taxis to-and-from restaurants. He took us up to the beautiful and dramatic north and east coasts, including the spectacular area of Animal Flower Cave and Cove Bay. He is a charming, personable, and knowledgable guide with loads of information and anecdotes about the island and his life growing up here. Thank you, Max, see you next visit!

This is probably one of my best ever days, swam with turtles and saw several ship wrecks and a bonus complimentary Rum Punch. The guys even let us walk along the beach which was beautiful and take some pictures of the pier. This is an absolute must. Max and Michael were so knowledgeable of the area and so friendly. Thank you so much for such a memorable day.

What an awesome trip! We both suffer from sea sickness, so we decided to do a private mini tour with Max of 2 hours!! It was magical! Swam with turtles and visited the shipwreck. Max is a brilliant host, trust him implicitly. Thank you so much!

We met Max first as our Taxi driver. He was so wonderful! He took amazing care of us, and went out of his way to recommend places and spots to us. He was always wonderful, helpful, and dependable. He really made our trip amazing. We didn't feel at all like we were 'tourists', he made us feel right at home.
For Fabulous Taxi Service Contact Max: 246-249-5115.

For Water Sports, Fishing, Boat Tours, Glass Bottom Boat, Max and his team are amazing!!! http://www.teambaywatch.com

Their hospitality has encouraged us to return to Barbados very soon.
We already have return reservations!
They are so helpful, patient, and really made a wonderful trip for us!

We can't say enough good things about them :-)!

Given that we were staying with Waves Hotel & Spa (see separate review) this excursion was suggested by the hotel at reasonable price. The collection from the hotel was on time (which is rare in Barbados given the laid back approach) and I was pleased to see Max was the driver. He had already taken us to Harrison's Caves earlier in the week.

We were met by Michael who asked who needed lifejackets and confirmed that everyone felt safe snorkelling. After a short walk to the boat we motored off.

I was impressed with how Michael discussed Barbados with the group whilst we were shipped to the snorkelling spots. He covered everything from the eroding coastline, to how his business was being sustained given that prices for tourists in Barbados were ever increasing.

The whole group were instructed to drop in to the sea on Michael spotting the turtles. He did his best to get us close, despite other excursions taking place. He also moved location taking in to account the tide to make swimming easier.

The whole group managed to swim with the turtles, which bumped in to us on occasion. When the turtles eventually moved on, Michael didn't throw lots of fish in to draw them back as we witnessed other boats doing continually. Michael explained that he did not want to overfeed the turtles as other excursions were evidently doing, putting the pleasure of their clients before the welfare of the turtles.

Michael took us on to a ship wreck. On this occassion we dropped in to the sea and took hold of a rope whilst the boat pulled us along above the wreck. There were plenty of fishes to be seen, but I would have rahther spent more time with the turtles, as this part of the trip took some time. I heard another guest remark the same.

Michael lastly offered us the chance to jump from top of the boat, which my husband and I did in earnest. It wasn't for everyone though!

On returning we were offered a glass of complimentary rum punch and refills. Note, it doesn't taste it but it is strong! It went straight to my head and I was a tad wobbly walking back from the boat to meet Max who took us back to the hotel.

Thank you Team Baywatch. A well deserved 5*.

I have enjoyed snorkeling tours in Mexico, Florida, Bahamas and Jamaica. The sites to be seen snorkeling here in Barbados are wonderful - the turtles, the shipwrecks, and the coral reefs were all marvels to behold; but, I would not recommend this particular tour group. The taxi picked us up 10 minutes late - it was not really a big deal to me until we got to the boat and I realized that the rest of the party had been sitting waiting for us. And we had to wait about 20 minutes for pick up at the end of the tour. Ok. Fine. Not the worst thing ever. But the tour... Our party included our family with four kids ages 16, 12, 10 and 8 and two other families: a gentleman with two children under 8, and a couple with three children under 8. Our first stop was to swim with the turtles. This stop was great. The boat anchored, we disembarked and swam nearby with the turtles. So fun! Then we climbed back on board and motored to the next spot: a combo spot: shipwreck and reef. Our captain told us the shipwreck was immediately near the boat. And then he pointed about 200 m off to a darkened area in the water and explained that we were to swim next to that reef. Let me remind you again...we have 7 kids 10 and under, we have choppy waters, we were given no flippers and we were just told to go 200 m. What a struggle it was! My 10 year gave up in frustration and reboarded the boat; one of the young girls was crying in the water (I later learned that her lifejacket was too big and was scraping her); two of the other kids didn't even get into the water but waited on board with their mother. I fought the current more than I snorkled. If only I had had flippers, I could have plowed through the waves much better! I was alarmed at one point when the boat turned on its engine and propelled away! All in all, I wish the captain had designed the tour to meet the needs of the group he had. I wish we had had flippers. I would have liked to have heard the history behind the shipwrecks. I would have loved to have learned about the sea turtles. Some previous reviews have mentioned that their captain was Michael and gave him many compliments. Our captain was not Michael. Perhaps that made all the difference.

We have been visiting this part of Barbados for a decade. Our kids have had almost every birthday here. They look forward to it all year - this year, they turn from kids to teenagers.

Every year, without fail, they ask:”Can we see the turtles with Captain Michael?”

Why the turtles? That’s pretty obvious - swimming with these creatures is a treat. Plus the flying fish, rays, coral, pufferfish... and other creatures you may see. Look - nothing is guaranteed, but in ten years in May, we have never NOT seen turtles.

Why Captain Michael?

Because he’ll talk to you. He’ll tell you about the island. The environment. The way things have changed. He cares about your experience and he doesn’t stuff his boat with too many people. He’ll dally over the reef and the shipwreck to make sure you have enough time. He’ll stop in the shallows to see if you can spot the local stingray (we didn’t- but hey, it’s nature!). He’ll anchor the boat and let the boys jump into the water from the upper deck.

We trust our boys with him. He’s always been good natured and kind. We’ll be back next year to Barbados and we’ll seek out Captain Michael again for a personal tour of the local fish and reefs.

We did the 2 hour tour to snorkle at the shipwreck and coral reef and with a stop to swim with turtles. Must do while you're on Barbados and Mike & Jason from Team Baywatch are the right guys to take you on that tour.
