West Bay is much better than West End. However, need to get a taxi to get there. Also, it will be nice to go on a day with less cruise ships. I ran into a taxi driver that is a bit greedy and overcharged us. I understand that they are trying to make a living, however, he broke his promise... More

The best beach in Roatan with something for everyone! Snorkeling the Meso American reef is at your fin tips from shore. SUP, parasailing, jet boarding, banana boating all while watching cruise ships float way are just a few of your activity choices. Want quiet relaxation under a palm tree ? It is there ,too. Eating and drinking choices are abundant along... More

West Bay Beach truly is a beautiful beach, but it's just too crowded for my liking. If you prefer a more quiet, private beach environment, this is not it. If you like being in the middle of a tourist trap, then this place is for you. We went for a walk to West Bay Beach on the day that 6... More

Spent a peaceful day here on our first cruise stop. Definitely not disappointed. We opted for the public beach on this trip. The roads are a little rough but our driver was great at avoiding the major potholes. We were greeted on the beach by a local man with some loungers that he moved for us and charged us a... More

Spent an afternoon at west bay beach last week during a cruise stop. Weather wasnt great but we enjoyed our afternoon despite that. We enjoyed walking up and down the beach. We did not find the vendors to be pushy. We purchased some delicious empanadas and mangos from the local vendors. We also stopped into a bar called earls that... More

Visited here 4 years ago, and absolutely loved it, couldn't wait to go back... what a difference a few years makes. Instead the pristine quiet little Caribbean beach we remembered, we found an overcrowded, over priced menagerie of vendors and tourists! Trash and fuel in what I remembered as some of the clearest water I'd ever seen. People everywhere! Lots... More

West Bay beach is a postcard tropical beach. You can stay in one of the hotels that line the beach, or in West End and take a water taxi. The western tip of the beach is usually less crowded, close to the ironshore. Great sunset views from the beach

Head all the way down to the wall area by Grand Roatan. Look out and to the right where the two turquoise patches of water are: stunning snorkeling.
