We were charged USD50/- for the 1.5 hr boat ride on the river. While the river is huge, i think the one in Brunei is better with more wildlife. I also find this place a bit too commercialised with fish spa, cinnamon garden, etc. Maybe its individual opinion i would love to enjoy more of the wildlife along the river... More

We had time spare on our trip so our guide suggested we do this. We had 3 teenage kids with us and even they loved it. We paid 7,000 rps for the boat. Started off where we met a guy on a canoe who rescued baby monkeys so we had a baby monkey join us, that was a highlight. Tip... More

This is a very relaxing way to spend a few hours on this big river exploring the many islands. We did the river cruise with The Captains Boathouse and enjoyed seeing the Cinnamon Plantation, the Buddhist Temple and how Coconut oil was made in the past. We saw many birds and a monitor lizard or two. Take water and sunscreen... More

Lovely experience cruising down the river. Stopping off at some of the islands you can find out about how they make cinnamon or get a fish foot massage. Best if you time your trip for the cooler parts of the day (or luck out with an overcast day). Not a bad way to spend an hour or so.

To start of with, boat ride was boring, had only two stops where we were shown how cinnamon was made (Something educational) then stop at a temple and back to the accommodation. The day rooms provided are not clean at all. We requested BBQ but was served buffet style where food was cold. The pool was horrible, tiles were popping... More
