Vipiteno - Historical city center
Oct 2020
The historical city center in Vipiteno is where you will find most of the city lanmarks, so it is a must when visiting Vipiteno.

The street running through it is pedestrianized, and offers a nice strolling area. Part of the street has porticoes, and some of these have frescoes on the ceiling (mostly in need of urgent restoration). There are also a lot of shops and restaurants in the city center.

Lovely street
Sep 2020 • Couples
Needed refreshments after Cascade Di Stanghe. Parked on the outskirts, nice walk into town. Be aware that shops and some cafes close at 1 pm until 3.30 pm. Good for 2 hours

Charming Alpine town
Sep 2018 • Couples
Dropped by Vipiteno en route to Innsbruck from Ortisei. We parked in a paid lot just on the periphery of the pedestrian centre and walked. It’s essentially one street with a clocktower and lots of charming buildings and cafes along the way. There seemed to be a local event when we arrived, as there were some musicians performing in the square, and some food stalls. We also dropped by the local store of the Sterzing Vipiteno dairy farm, which produces the wonderful creamy flavoured yogurt we’ve always enjoyed over many breakfasts in Italy.

Nice 1hr stroll
Sep 2018 • Family
Very nice town. To be honest it is one street stroll but extremely nice with high level shops.
We visited on a rainy day and it was great.

Nice place to visit
May 2018 • Family
We are regularly in Sterzing.
A very nice town with a combination of Tyrolian and Italian flair.

The historic center with a lot of restaurants and bars invites you to have some great food and some good drinks.

Visit to Sterzing
Jun 2017 • Friends
We stayed overnight at Sterzing and had a good wander around the town. Sterzing is a nice sized town in the South Tyrol in Northern Italy. It has a lovely river (the Eisack) that runs through the centre. This is a medieval town and has lots of history and a beautiful clock tower right in the centre. Very beautiful.

Perfect for Half a day
Mar 2017 • Couples
Vipiteno, although being in italy, gives you the feeling of an Austrian mountain town. People here prefer german language. The centro storico is not that animated here as it's in other italian towns, but it looks nice and you can spend here half a day walking around.
