Fantastic, went after heavy rains in September, we were not disappointed, flowing beautifully.
An easy short wander to the falls. Stunning trees, flowers & natural vegetation. Plenty of picnic tables along the way. No toilets, but only a short drive to nearby Normanville.
I would definitely recommend visiting these falls during winter & spring.

This was a beautiful short walk from the car park to the waterfalls.
It was like walking into a fairy tale with butterflies and beautifully coloured birds everywhere.
I highly recommend coming here if you are near by and taking in the beautiful scenery.

Easy walk from the carpark and the falls are really lovely BUT don't go on a weekend. We drove out from Normanville on a Sunday afternoon and the carpark was packed. Turned around and went back next morning and no-one else was there. Be aware there are nice picnic spots but no toilets.

My family visited and yes the path to the falls are easy to walk to, but the tracks around the falls are dangerous. My kids began climbing them and when I went to follow them to make sure they were ok I slipped and broke my wrist and slid to the bottom. Be careful if going with children who will want to climb the tracks. They get very steep very quickly and it’s hard to get back down. There are no signs to warn that the tracks are steep or dangerous.

Five stars for the tranquility and bird life but the falls are just a trickle of water.
Very short walk from car park to the falls. Surrounded by lots of beautiful, native trees, it was nice watching the little bluebirds playing as well as other species of birds. There are several spots to sit. It would be a nice spot to have a picnic

Ingalalla Waterfalls is a great spot for a picnic or to take the family to explore. The Waterfall runs all year round. You can take the easy walk to the bottom falls but if you are more adventurous you can climb to the second falls which is even better via the left side of the large boulder to the left of the bottom falls. There are great walks around the forest area on the fire tracks.

Accessibility is pretty good but not for wheelchair or pram users. A short walk from the car park gets you to the base of the lower falls, reaching the second falls is done via ascending the rocky sides of the waterfall.

We came here as we saw a sign for waterfall as we were leaving Normanville towards Adelaide. Head 10 don the road which is partially sealed/partially dirt road. The entrance to the car park is on the right. The sign pointing towards the car park entrance is hidden by a tree until you are at the entrance. We saw people have to reverse back to turn in. The walk from the carpark to the waterfall is only short 500m max and pretty flat path. There are no toilet facilities in the car park or along the trail. There is a bridge and a fallen tree branch is partially blocking the path closer to the waterfall at the moment (it is still accessible but narrower than the wide trail). As we have had quite a bit of rain recently there is lots of water flowing. It seems to be dog friendly. There were several dogs being walked on lead. There are a couple of picnic tables in the car park area. The drive from the main road to the car park is scenic in it's own right.

We seen a sign that said waterfall 10km so thought why not?. Got to the car park then a 5 minute walk and we were there. A beautiful waterfall. Only running slow possibly due to lack of rain. I imagine it's better in the winter.

Are dogs on lead allowed on this walking trail?

We had our 2 dogs on lead and saw at least 3 other groups the day we were there with their dogs on lead. As long as you carry poop bags and have your dog on lead I don't think you will have any issues.

Can you swim here?

Rebecca, whilst swimming IS permitted and there IS a small rockpool at the base of the falls, it is another question as to whether there is sufficient water to actually swim. You may be able to get wet and cool off, but you also need to check the water quality.

Is the waterfall active this time of the year? (Dec)
Thanks

the location given when we tried to find there was no waterfall just on a flat dirt road.
unless somebody has updated map position it's a waste of time.
this time of the year it's usually not waterfall running time. best to look at recent rainfall over the past weeks.
good luck
how far are the falls from Normanville?

I wasn't doing the driving and we were taking our time, but it probably took 20 mins - half an hour.

Can we bring our dog to Ingalalla Falls?
Traveller5211
Encounter Bay, Australia18 contributions
I would think yes as long as it is kept on the lead. There is plenty of wildlife around at times including roos and deer so it may want to follow a scent and the hills can be quite step to chase a dog through.
