Perfect place to relaxing

Olden is charming and beautiful.. The best place to visit is Briksdale Glasier and try to rent a bicycle for a couple of hours to explore the village.

Olden is so nice it`s hard to describe ! There is not a lot going on here which actually adds to the charm. It`s a very small place with the odd shop and bar. The scenery around Olden is stunning. For anybody looking for an out of the way base for travelling around this area, they would be hard pushed... More

I fell in love with this place. It was a port of call during my cruise on P&O Britannia. We booked an excursion to Nordfjordeid. You usually see these views on postcards so actually seeing them was like a dream. The scenery is breathtaking. But what impressed me most was the warm farewell from the residents in Olden. Everyone was... More

Most beautiful place and friendly people. Unspoiled nature so don't leave any trash if you go 💁🏼 Rent a cabin and see Briksdal glacier as well.

We did a ship's excursion on the nearby Lake Oldvanet and the scenery there was breathtaking. We saw the edge of the largest ice sheet in Europe. After we strolled through the lovely village of Olden to the Old Church. Totally different from the beautifully decorated Spanish and Italian churches, but so beautiful inside with it's decorations and wood carving.... More

Lovely port of call.A visit to the national park and glacier are a must. This can be acheived in various ways, cruise ship tour, glacier express coach from the tourist information centre or by the local bus service.Once there it is a pleasant steady walk along a good path up to the lake beneath the glacier [about 45 minutes] or if you wish... Really pretty little village at the top of a fyord. Not much in the village, few shops, some nice walks but is the gateway to trips to the glacier and a lot of beautiful lakes. Plenty of trips from the village and can all be booked locally. Few shops and restaurants.

We have just returned from a cruise to the Nirwegian Fjords. Our stops were Stavangar, Flam, Olden and Berben. Whilst all the places were nice and each a little bit different to the others Olden was by far the best. If you like rambling you can go on a number of different walks, or you can get a bus to... Visited this lovely place on a recent cruise with P&O Azura, was a beautiful place, so much too see, the trips are good value for money and you see more of this beautiful part of the world. Amazing views to be seen.

We recently visited Olden on a lovely day as part of our cruise on The Navigator of The Seas. We arrived in early morning and saw the wonderful scenery as we approached the pier. This is a tiny, very unspoilt place and we took the bus trip to get a better view of the glacier.......absolutely breathtaking. As we sailed away... More
